One could say that this is a solid Duo of kits.

For the gaps in the wings, you have to find where the pegs are inside the sections and give them a good squeeze. If you get them snapped in all the way, there shouldn't be a gap.

10:24 where did deathsythe's left arm go? XD Edit: you can fix that peg with a small metal pin you can find at hobby stores and some super glue. You use a hand control drill and make a small hole on both parts and feed the pin there that and glue the parts back together and let it dry and add the arm back and he should be fine then

Love Deathscythe. I finally got a MG standard version and I custom painted it metallic black and pearl white. Such an awesome kit.

I got both deathscythes as well, but then I kitbashed the two together to create something closer in approximation to the TV show counterpart. Deathscythe Hell just doesn't look right without the grapler shield, and I found the Standard Deathscythes armor colorization works better to contrast the Hell's appearance than the grayed-out armor does. Also: Dual-wielding scythes. It's just...all the yes.

Just wanted to comment and say thanks SO MUCH for introducing me to buyee. Ive been trying to find the recent RG Sword Impulse for weeks and it's been tough finding it. I used Buyee and eventually found one. Just arrived last night. So excited to build that kit.

D-Hell was my very first MG and it also had the issue with the active cloak parts having a gap. It also seems to be incapable of completely closing around the mobile suit. Not really a loss for me since he's been displayed with it open for the past 5 years already.

When you have those annoying plus-shaped pegs, you can try melting some runner plastic in a jar with plastic cement to make some glue to fill in the gaps. Sand any excess down and you should be good

It's really incredible but I built the MG Gundam Deathscyte last week and I loved it! I was looking for him from 2014, some years after I entered in this wonderful world! I had the chance to buy it and it is really awesome! It solid as a rock (as you say), it's awesome in all its aspects and I enjoyed to build it. Before to buy it I tried to find if you had already reviewed it but I didn't find it and I went for it only hoping it could be awesome not only in photos. Now I'm happy my thoughts and feelings about MG Deathscyte are almost the same of yours. I'd give it Gold Tier but only for the feelings and memories this Gunpla gives me. Gundam Wing was what got me into anime and mechas. Endless Waltz was my first anime movie I've ever seen, and Deathscythe has always been my favorite gundam.

As one of the older kits, usual issues apply. Fitting issue as well as parts popping off, not to mention parts and joints suddenly became loose. Still a fun to build kit with a bit of challenge.

Some people might be wondering why the mobile suits aren't anime accurate. That's because the EW line is supposed to be accurate to the reboot manga, Mobile Suit Wing Gundam Endless Waltz: Glory of the Losers.

11.11 This breaking can be fixed easily. You use hand drill to make holes on both broken pieces. Then put a small-cut-piece of paper clip or pin and combine the broken pieces with super glue. Now you will have fixed it.The joint is like having a matal beam inside stronger than before.

My deathscythe hell's left wing snapped off a long time ago and I had to glue it sacrificing it's poseability

The bat wing backpack was such an absolute pain to put together because the connecting pieces were nearly impossible to get to stay still. I really wanted to do the closed cloak but because of how janky to put it together was, I can't fold the wings at all XD

I want to love this kit soooooo bad. The scythe, the wings, the shoulders....they look so badass but those nasty, plain, lavender legs just look so terrible. I wish they were black or had just a few 'bits' to break it up. It genuinely looks like its not wearing pants and I don't know how a gundam could ever make me think something like that

Forgot to mention the action base mount fits on the backpack wings mount as well, for those who don't want the mount point to be at the crotch.

I mean what really sold the design of this kit to me was the hyper jammer bat wings man, I remember seeing this thing open them up the first time in the movie and already I was in love

I'd still love to see MG's of the TV versions of the other Gundams, like the 2010 MG Wing Gundam.

I did the 1/144 hg version from the year 2000, apart from braking the head-fin, my only problem with it is the scythe is a solid yellow and not green but it’s still a good kit to try for beginners in my opinion

I just recently got a H.G Deathscythe Hell Custom E.W myself. The lack of paint apps and detail aside, it was fun to build overall. The only 'real' bit that bothered me was the fact that the beam for the scythe wasn't transparent like it showed in the images, but it's whatever. If I manage to get the $ together, I'll be sure to add this kit to my super small (at this time) collection. Thanks for the review as always good sir!

I picked one of these up from my local hobby shop a few weeks back. I was going to order one from PlazaJapan like I normally do, but I got mine in person for not much more than the $35 from PJ. They also have many other sets, MG, HG, PG, RG, and SD. Also Deep Striker for $160 😏

One small visual error at the end, the red spikes were down for cloak mode when they should have up. ;)

This old kit was a nightmare to build. Shoving the forearm all the way down the arm, figuring out how the knees went on, and don't get me started on what a pain in the ass the wings were. The double lines that slot into the grooves almost required 4 hands to get it together. I hate this build and I'm glad it's over

I had wanted the Deathscythe Hell since I was about 9 years old. I had 1/144 Standard Deathscythe as a birthday gift and looking at the box, I spotted the Hell model and fell in love. Hop, skip and a jump almost two decades and I still love design of the Deathscythe Hell. So since the pandemic gave me nothing but time to find hobbies, I thought it was an ideal opportunity to finally buy it. The plastic around the helmet did break so I too had to glue it, and the wings' crease indeed DOESN'T close fully, but overall it is perfect. Everything I dreamed of in this beautiful Gundam. (Edit: I commented back in 2020 and now that 2021 is almost over, I still can't get red points of the cloak to clip closed around Deathscythe. Does anyone have pointers on that?)

Man, they did the Deathscythe Hell tv version so dirty, the coolest Deathscythe by far but not even a hint of its design anywhere.

I really wish that we’d get MGs of the TV versions of these mobile suits. The TV Shenlong and Altron are some of my favorite mecha of all time. The old NG 1/100 kits don’t do them justice and the Heavyarms/ Sandrock don’t even have 1/100 kits for their TV design. A big missed opportunity in my opinion.

Death scythe has always been my favorite Gundam.

I’d like to point out that the “seam line” on the helmet is actually a “panel”line. In the gotl artwork they all have those lines.

I had no idea both kits were so similar. I completed the grey/dark unit about 4 years ago. I was going to get the new EW kit, but I think Ill take the old one apart, sand it, and paint it.

Never seen so many people befuddled by such an easy process of snapping a model together. I recommend starting with model cars or planes, these Bandai kits are stupid simple to build but the sheer number of parts in the more detailed sets can make it a real pain/challenge for new builders.

There is a US P-Bandai store now, and this is one of the ones listed.

god damnit, the three kits ive built so far have had something break on them, 1/144 HG Grimegarde's sword broke after brother knocked it off a table, HG 1/144's Barbatos Lupus hates me, with it being loose and the cricket stick breaking in half, and HG 1/144's Kimaris Troopers head crest broke, every thing has been glued back on, but WHY CANT IT BE THIS PERFECT:(

I had that standard MG 1/100 deathscythe EW, Dragon Momoko bootleg... Looks almost identical but is a nightmare when it comes to articulation and Duo Maxwell is not included in the Cockpit. Never bought another bootleg ever again and pledge my loyalty to buying only bandai gunpla 😂

My wings have the exact same problem, painted the kit to have it’s movie colors (nearly black instead of darkish gray and gray instead of purple) before actually building it to find that problem so it’s probably gonna stay that way forever lol. Might add some LEDs into it though in the near future once I get some more practice.

I get all my kits delived to the us from galactic toys and gundam place and they are fairly quick and reasonable priced in my opinion

brought the deathscythe hell, wings was a nightmare to put together, ended up breaking a piece by accident.......in the heat of the moment i smashed the whole damn thing against the wall lol gundam was no good afterwards.
