What's crazier is that he wasn't well in this performance, some time before this performance he had gotten about 6 injections in his neck and the Doctors had told him he wasn't suppose to sing for a while, but here he is. And he said that he was trying to hit a G7, but his voice said, "No let me take you higher" and he hit a D8. One thing I realize with Dimash is that when he's sick, he sings better in the upper register and struggles a tad bit with the lower register, whereas with some other singers and people, when they're sick they struggle with the upper register instead and the lower register takes over much of their range.

If for any reason Dimash would ever put an end to his singing career, he can always pass as a dogwhistle 🤣❤

I think you can call the increase in subscribers "the dimash dears effect". It is a regular phenomenon of Dimash "dears" fans that enjoy his music and support youtube channels that showcase his talent to new people. More recent videos may need to be somewhat clouded to get past blocking because ultimately his team want people to go to his own channel too, whereas earlier songs are less strict to help introduce you to him. It's positive and supportive of growing exposure to Dimash's talent. It also encourages you of course to showcase more of his songs. It isn't exclusionary of you to continue other artists reviews too. So its great. His countrymate is Danielya Tuleshova whom you might want to check out too who has sung on Voice Ukraine & AGT later. They have met. They both competed in a US World's Got Talent but Dimash did not like competing with very young singers and pulled out because Kazak culture is very supportive of older artists supporting younger ones & not holding them back in any way such as competing. It was a tough decision for him & of course some judges were critical. For most fans of Dimash they were supportive and not positive towards that competition as a result.

He sings Unforgettable Day in Kazakh which is his native language. He wrote the song when he was a teenager. Frequently when he sings this live the audience sings along with him in Kazakh, even though they don't speak the language. They love him so much they have learnt it off by heart. Some people say he is reaching a dolphin note in this performance LOL. It's D8, his highest note so far, although we don't know if the silent bit where he waves the microphone back and forth was a note that was inaudible to our hearing.
