Hi Tom, I just wanted to show appreciation and say it's great to see how you've rejuvenated your GVR4 back to its glory. I am very shocked to hear about so many people not knowing what it was. I hope to buy one in Bezel Green or Summit White in the near future, to modify and restore. Its also nice to see another DSMer keeping these cars alive. I had a 92 Plymouth Laser RS N/A (my first car), 90 Red GSX, 93 panda color scheme Talon Tsi AWD, and a 95 3000GT SL (It was my daily driver while owning the GSX and Talon). I can't wait to see you finish the Miata, and best of luck with it!

2:17 the Galant literally looks like the magazine page from 1991 from Mitsubishi. I love your attention to detail how you clean the car, to how you make your videos, and then show off the end result! Amazing work that not a lot of people will put their time to and have no idea how to do either.

Tom's Turbo Garage I'm glad you finally shared your plans with the car. I love how it turned out. I love what you are doing with it. It seems to be the same route I am taking with my DSM. I'm the third owner and it was almost completely stock when I got it. I didn't want to ruin that. So I installed a full interior, installed Evo 3 16g, upgraded side mount, injectors, etc, but kept the stock exhaust, no front mount, no visible modifications from the exterior at all. I want to see how far I can push this while keeping it stock appearing and sounding. I will be watching closely. Thanks for another great video.

How did u get those birds to fly in a V . lol Your a lucky guy to have found that VR4 . Or maybe VR4 # 1444 was lucky to have found u. either way love to see this piece of history get a new life. To be out at car shows were it belongs. Though I am not a Mitsu guy. my buddy owned a VR4 back when I had my equally rare 93 Subaru legacy turbo . We would work on each others cars. We went head to head when ever where ever we could. Weather on the dyno or on the strip or street. This build brings me back to simpler times. HAPPY HOLIDAYS and thank u for the great vids. I hope to do the same on a new channel when I score my 1st gen Legacy turbo

kbcustomz I know and thank you! What attracted me to the car originally is that the paint wasn't faded or peeling. Once I saw that I knew that there was a shine hiding under there that could be brought out! I have buffed out/restored paint like this in the past on other cars and it is amazing how oxidized paint can come back. It's almost as if (at some point) the oxidization protects the deeper layers of paint?

It very well might, appreciation of these cars in New Zealand is slim to none unfortunately they get hacked up by in-experienced school boys. I wish people would watch these videos and learn a thing or too, myself im building my 1991 galant vr4 rs but ive gone the direction of your talon. thank you for taking the time out of your life to document these things and appreciate your interaction with fans, good luck with the build. cheers, Ben.

AISIN also makes the water pumps for 6-bolt 4g63s. Don't ask me why I know? Okay fine, Jafro is sitting right here next to me showing me your channel. He says great work, because people want Galant videos. He also said, "it's been a hell of a good year for Tom's Turbo Garage." I don't know why I didn't just let him type it?

Hi there and yes that's absolutely true! I don't believe this local factory makes those parts (according to what they told me) but it's a darn impressive facility nonetheless. Please tell Jafro I said hi and thank you for the support! I love the heck out of everything he does!!

I think there is something good missing.... The original "DOHC Turbo 4WD 4WS" sticker on the side of each rear door.

Cool project Tom, unfortunately we only have seen mitsubishi cars in Canada for a few years but I was aware of the model didn't know there were only 2000 produced. I was wondering how you painted the black trim around the Galant? What paint and process? My 92 talon has all it's trim faded, the lower window trim dried up and cracked and separated. Keep up the good work.

Hi there and thank you! I covered the trim painting in one of the previous Galant videos - check it out and good luck with your Talon!

Car is coming along nicely and looking forward to my vr4 when I find one not molested by mods done by the less superior eye for detail. Part of NewEngDSM and can't wait for the shootout in June. Will you be going?

Hi there and thank you! Good luck on your search, there are nice VR-4s out there, it just takes patience to find the right one. I'll definitely be going to the DSM/Evo shootout, not sure if I can make it to the one in June.

I agree with that when it comes to the very glossy ones. But a slight sheen compliments the the deep gloss after the polishing and waxing he did. A slightly better look than dull rubber look.
