These tracks are State Azure's essence and the reason of my presence here since years. The longer they are and the more musical narrative they have is the better and the human voices are awesome when there is. "Beyond An Infinite Sky" is a masterpiece and SA's biggest artistic achievement in my humble opinion.

This eurorack setup is like a sci-fi horror brought to life. The Assimil8or's ability to capture haunting memories and the Arbhar's granular textures are like a descent into the darkest corners of time and space. As the Nautilus joins in, it's as if we're plunging into the abyss of the unknown, with unsettling sonic depths. The Data Bender's glitchy charm adds a disturbing layer of unpredictability, and the FX Aid's reverb engulfs us in a ghostly, otherworldly embrace. Amidst this chilling sonic landscape, a record's dusty, crackling texture emerges, casting an antiquated veil over the nightmarish soundscape. It's as though we're trapped in a forgotten archive of the macabre, where every twist and turn unveils a different nightmare, and the ever-present dust on the record adds to the sense of decay and dread. Thanks to State Azure for sharing this bone-chilling experience.

@@stateazure I would like to ask you something. do you use a sequencer for percussions or drums in your Eurorack? can you recommend something?

Not anymore. I used to use the WMD Metron for that, but I sold it long ago. I haven't been doing drums/percussion much in my eurorack tracks for a while. I think I might prefer to use software OR I could probably sequence my Oxi Coral with my Oxi One, or use the Oxi One to trigger samples on my Assimil8or. Oxi One could easily handle drum sequencing.@@TheHellswarlock

Thanks! I have some Techno on the channel, not much..'Hydrostatic' and 'Relic' come to mind. I also did a fairly darkish Techno track on Twitch a while ago, but it might not exist there anymore and I never bothered to finish/release it. Techno is hard for me to get right unless I listen to it a lot, and practice the style. I'm sure I'll do more of those in the future though.

If Korg are listening, I hope they would hook you up with a Korg Arp 2600FS or M, and Wavestate SE someday. You could make them sing. I like their Odyssey desktop, because the different filter settings genuinely sound quite different. Especially liked I think the third setting, on bass which can add a bit of beefy Moog feedback-like bass loudness/drive/saturation. And one was more acidic too, think maybe the first setting.

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with my normal Wavestate, but even that one I don't really have room for and currently waiting on desktop conversion kits. Wavestate is an awesome synth, which I'd like to use more often.

@@stateazureYeah, I can see that. Similar here, I prefer compact synths. That's even a more sensible way to go. When the keyboard on the normal Wavestate isn't the best. That's why I like the Korg Odyssey desktop module too. It's a better form factor, and also works well stood up vertical on a stand. Similar reason, I like the Peak, the Hydrasynth Desktop, the Take 5. And the Grandmother, with some additional modules in a 6u Rackbrute behind, rather than the wider Matriarch. Digitone too, rather than op-six.

Yeah I agree. Those keybeds on the Korgs are pretty terrible. Eventually I'll have the Wavestate + Opsix in a nice 2 tier desktop stand. Can't wait for that. I used to have the Digitone, but I much prefer the Opsix@@compucorder64

@@stateazureYip, I can see why you prefer the Op-six as an FM synth. But, the Digitone gets dual duty. For a long time it's been my four track step sequencer that drives Squarp Hermod. But sold Hermod, and am getting an Oxi One very soon. Have enough synths, but do badly need a MIDI and modular sequencer now with more tracks.

No, I haven't bothered. I never really use 3rd party samples for my granular stuff, I just prefer to process my own sounds/internal stuff in the rack. I've updated the firmware of course, it's really nice!
