Big industries in India is about theatrics, over the top since that's entertainment. There are several films that are realistic and if audience can relate and like an Iranian film then an Indian film is not that far in terms of filmmakers out there doing realistic films that are rooted. Even in India everyone makes fun of over the top mass movie or those bollywood rom com and drama.
