We still get the sexy characters but also some interesting ones like Marisa. She might not be everyone's cup of tea but we still have Juri Han and Cammy. Win/win in my opinion.

Man, seeing Roomi go flying and those kick combos were awesome. The two Shotos are a guy with a jetpack and a ninja? That's pretty cool. The ninja has shadow kick on top of hadouken shoryuken and tatsumaki sk. The first yacopu round was tense.

I'm blown away by how charming Roomi's stage is. The little rabbit things walking around with their babies, jumping around with squirrels, that horrific smiling nightmare fur creature, the random pop vocals in the BGM, it's just so fun.

Galaxy Fight caught a lot of hate back in the day, but I always loved it. Much like Cyber Brawl, it had some unique characters and tried something different with the gameplay. The final boss was actually pretty cool, as was Bonus-kun. Had this game originally on Saturn when it was released back during the Saturns retail life. Then years later on Neo CD, and at one point the MVS cart when I collected AES and MVS stuff. Either release had a really great soundtrack. It still surprises me how well this was ported on Saturn, while Waku Waku 7 ended up being such a mess.

People at sunsoft did an incredible job. The animation are so smooth. This came out same year as Street Fighter Alpha which had the same amount fluid movement. They were able to match capcom which was king of fighting games. Sadly this game didn't get to the states.

Felden is another definitive example of an SNK boss, as cheap as he can be. His fighting style makes it nearly impossible for grapple based characters like Gunter and G.Done to get in close and use their command grab, and generally makes it very unwise to fight at close range too. In this case, I just hate the fact that the boss cannot be fought conventionally with combos, but rather resorting to poking it with some light attacks or projectiles and the turtling until time out for a win. A win is a win sure, but depriving players the chance to test their fighting skills doesn't make the win satisfying. Good job on landing that galactic phantom attack on Felden, I've only managed to do it a handful of times. His AI was obviously programmed to attack immediately after being knocked down if you're in range, and the dash in was clearly fast enough to close in before he had a chance to finish his fireball launching animation, which left him defenseless.

Great pixel art: Check Slapping soundtrack: Check What a pretty little game! Some of the stages are amazing with both fore and background details and the fact that they're seemingly endless reminds me of Shuma Gorath's stages in MSH which came out the same year. You can also notice the devs had some love for Capcom and SNK games. Roomi is discount Felicia (she even does her rolling attack) Felden looks Pyron's little cousin. Rouwe seems heavily inspired in the mythic "Sheng Long" fake secret character from SF2 (he even has a shoryuken) and Kazuma is a straight up clone Hattori Hanzo in that not only he has almost the same look and idle stance but he stole Haohmaru's stage, complete with the destructible stone lanterns!

Yacopu is the main character of Trip World for GameBoy. BONUS appear also in next game from SunSoft, WakuWaku 7. Roomi stage is quite similar to Mauru stage in WW7 too.
