Galaxy S20/S20+ : How to Insert/Remove SIM Card Properly

In this video tutorial I show you how to put in and take out the SIM card in the Samsung Galaxy S20 or S20 Plus. I also go over the mobile setting network if you want to turn the data roaming off or on. Note that the sim card tray has a slot for an sd card as well. Hope this helps.

Dear god, thank you so much. Especially with the tool. I was so pissed they didn't provide one. Went to use a paperclip and pin and couldn't get either to work. Watched your video....who knew they stick the tool BEHIND the packaging where you can't see it. Again so helpful. Thanking you.

@@FayeMelancon Pretty much all Samsung phones going back to s7 have a tool like that included. If you don't have the original packaging, look around for any old Samsung phone packaging or ask someone who has one.

Thank you so much for this video. I have always had the TracFone Cell Pay as you go so I'm brand new to a contract phone. Thankfully I had plenty of experience with my TracPhone with most of the functions. However, I had no idea how to open my S20 Plus. Your instructions were easy to follow and very clear. Thank you! I still have a lot to learn with my new phone because there are new features (to me) that I am unsure of and have never seen. So far, I'm getting it. Again, thank you!

Good job. Quick and easy. My phone is a company phone and maybe its different but the tray is a different design where you can put the sim on one side and micro sd on the other. And you have to use the smallest footprint for the sim. I had to break off the bigger piece labeled "std" and then had to break off the section labeled "micro". In the end your instruction was helpful.

Thank you. COVID-19 meant I couldn't get normal phone upgrading, so I had to make sure I was doing it right to slide that SIM card in.

Thank you, this was very informative, and concise. My only issue, is that I'm having trouble getting my old SIM card in to the new SIM card slot. It sounds like it clicked, it doesn't fall out when turned upside down, but it doesn't feel the tray is going to slide back in to the new phone. It seems like the SIM card is sticking up a little bit.

@@jesusa.baldemar7103 Yeah, it does have to be oriented a certain way. It was either upside down or backwards, forgot which. Once it was facing the right way it clicked with some pressure.

im having an issue where for some reason it still shows the emergency calls only even with my active sim in. It shows my number the sim is connected with and everything but the circle with the cross through it pops up then occasionally the service will come back. i had contacted verizon and was on a chat session with them they claimed they got the sim to register with the phone but it didnt seem to change anything . is there a chance the S20+ phone requires an updated sim card ? the phone my sim card came out of is a 4g sim card from a galaxy s8+

You took the sim card out of the side? I am traveling to Vietnam and Korea and aim to buy sim cards in both places. I know to put them in the top slot. Do I pull the one out on the side?

Yes as long as the s20 is not locked to another carrier.

It blows my mind how they still haven't come up with a better alternative to this nonsense. How hard could it possible be to just simply push and have the tray pop out. Why are they forcing us to comply to this backward ass way which leads to a lot of people damaging their phones before even getting the chance to use it. Its 2020 we shouldn't have to still be deal with this shit.
