The funny thing about Galaxy AI is, it literally uses Google Bard. Even when it refreshes or animates, it shows the google bard logo. it is crazy to me that these tech reviewers do not even notice this. ahahahah

Preordered the S24 in that lovely Sandstone Orange and can't wait for it! I'm currently on a Pixel 7 and to be honest..I don't like how it feels compared to the smaller S20 it replaced. Wide phones are just not comfortable. I have an iPad if I want a tablet..

There are a few things you missed with the AI. Frame interpolation to create slo-mo footage from standard footage. The cloud based AI is listed as free until 2025 in the T&C. May be subscription thereafter.

I have an S10 that has served me well, so I'm thinking of getting a new phone. Currently looking at Pixel 8/Pro, Galaxy S24 and the Sony V 5. Most people aren't looking to spend 1500$on a phone, so it's great to have a few reviews for models that have a normal price sub 1000$, or at least on sale.

What I find funny about the people saying that they're not getting the s24 or s24 plus because of exynos is that tensor is built on exynos. And from tests I've seen, the exynos 2400 seems to be really good. It's better than the 8 gen 3 in some instances, too. So basically, the pixel series is built on samsngs architecture. If things work out for this year's exynos, I think it would be a great year for Google, too.

Thank you for this review of the S24. I am looking to upgrade my S22 which, other than its abysmal battery life, has been a the best all around phone. I'd maybe consider the Pixel 8 as I like the price and arguably superior camera, but my one hang up are the relatively wide bezels making it look like a budget phone or phone from the 2010s.

Return a pixal 8. I was not able to send a voice message Thursday text. I kept getting recording canceled. Google did not have a fix for this. I loved the feel and color of the Pixal 8 . Got a Samsung S24 . It OK. I plan on keeping it fir The 7 years of security updates. I would have kept the Pixal 8 if I could have gotten the voice messages to work.

Great video! Here in Austria the Pixel 8 with 256 is 740€ and there were no further deals (besides stuff like get "free" overprized ear pods), while Samsung made me a deal on the S24 265 for 680€. So actually the S24 is 60€ CHEAPER here. Google does have better Software, but I find it hard to justify paying over 700€ for a phone with inferior hardware, overheating issues while gaming and the same shitty fingerprint reader from previous generations. With Samsung you do feel like you get the best that they could cram into that thing and I like that. Google has the edge with AI features right now, but with their inferior chip everything has to be done on the cloud and takes forever. Samsung AI is weaker right now, but with the powerful chip has a lot of potential to become great and deliver results quicker. Usually when I take a lot of photos I am not somewhere with high-speed internet. Having the AI capabilities ON YOUR PHONE is an upside that I feel like is ab underrated. So I guess we will see in 2-3 years how this AI-feature race turned out.

S24 full charging time?

Sorry but saying that the S24 and the Pixel 8 have the same camera specs is very inaccurate. The S24 has 3 X optical zoom and a lot of pro settings, including raw shooting which the Pixel 8 only has in the pro version. So if photography is important to you but still don't want a phone the size of a tablet then the S24 is the best choice.

I really wish Samsung redesigned the camera bump and logo for the S24s. They should make the logo bigger and bolder so it doesn’t look so plain on the back.

Thanks for the useful video. My 10 day old Pixel 8's battery life has been disappointing, but now it is refusing to recharge rapidly, whatever I do - there seems to be a lot of Pixel 8 battery complaints. So now, getting a refund and switching, and will likely go to Galaxy S24.

I have the Pixel 8 and I have to admit that am quite disappointed. Yes the cameras are amazing but there are a lot of bugs (surprisingly Google Chrome freezes all the time). The battery life is below average and drains extremely fast. Some tasks that I would consider as low demand from the CPU (like listening to music saved on the phone) lead to heating and rapid battery drain. The multitasking is horrendous. As an example: I'm watching a video on KZfaq and open WhatsApp to answer a message. When I come back KZfaq has to restart...I wouldn't recommend it unfortunately.

Love your review bro and making the S24 more attractive as a phone than the S24 Ultra! Giving smaller phones some love man. They are underrated. Easy to fit in pockets, lighter so your pants dont fall off & essy to carry when watching videos in bed

The S24 is a pretty phone no doubt, but the pixel's software is designed in and out for android. Experience beats everything. Plus, the Pixel 9 is right around the corner and rumor has it, it's going to look extremely similar to the S24 with the aluminum frame and rounded corners like the iphone

After getting the s23, the cameras were like garbage... Sold it in a month... Then got the pixel 7 pro which had a lot of network issues in my area, so had to sell that but i loved that phone otherwise... Got the iPhone 14 pro but couldn't find any value in spending that much on a phone, so eventually sold it and got pixel 8 at a lot cheaper... With the remaining money got iPad 9th gen and airpods 2nd gen... Still saved some...!! And pixel 8 is the best phone I've had, I won't disagree with MKBHD... Phone of the year... 👍

I'll still choose the s24 because the benchmarks is higher than g3 and this new exynos has better thermals....

Technology is involving a lot faster, otherwise I like Super AMOLED than Dynamic AMOLED but Samsung does not use Super AMOLED on their flagship phones

You absolutely wrong by saying "every AI feature is done on the phone". In fact 90% of AI features processing is done on Google Cloud by Gemini AI. It's not even a Samsung technology. It is the exact same AI that powers Google Pixel 8 and 8 Pro.

Samsung phones always seem better on the surface but they overlook smaller important festures. Speaker quality, Microphone Quality, Battery life, NFC responsiveness and OS optimisation are all better on the Pixel 8.

S24 suits me better. My perfect compact phone even if cameras improvements could have been something to bring in 2024. Samsung can do better but Google need to do better to make Galaxy users switch to Pixel. Will it be Pixel 9 ? Pixel 10 with new Tensor ? 🤔
