This tutorial will demonstrate how replace your Galaxy S6 Edge charging port. This component includes the main microphone for the handset.
In order to remove the rear panel you will need a heat source, preferably one like what's shown in the video or a silicon heating pad. Blow dryers can help but take a long time to generate sufficient heat. Using a water proof playing card dipped in 99% isopropyl alcohol helps to slide through the adhesive a bit easier once you get under the back panel. Unfortunately it is easy to not only break the glass but also to damage the painted surface on the inside of it.

Is there anyway to bypass the heat gun? Cant i just put something pointy in and then pull it up?

Agwa Playzz you need heat to melt the adhesive glue, if you don’t use it you’ll crack the back panel.

Hey I have a s6 edge which had a problem with the charging port(intermittent charging) tried cleaning the charging port for lint as it had helped before but it stopped working completely. Started using a cheap wireless charger for a couple of days which worked fine and then one night it showed as 96% charged (phone was off) and it would not turn on. Any idea on what the problem is ? will a charging port replacement fix this problem? The wireless charger lights up when I put the phone on it so that means it is still detecting the phone but nothing happens.

Very good video. I replaced the battery on my S6 edge and now have a weak network signal most of the times (1 or 2 bars). I can surely see the antenna cable damaged. Would that be the reason ? Or does the charging port need to be replaced too ? I am not quite sure where exactly the antenna on the S6 edge is located.

If the antenna is damaged you will definitely have some problems. Sometimes the charging port has to be replace also but it really depends on where the damage is.

Go Cell Phone Repair ok, let me replace the antenna cables first. If that does not work, I will try replacing the charging port

hi guys, it looks I have fried a charging board -main board connector in my s6 edge. my question: is there any way to bypass that connector and power up the main board just to recover my photos ? or is there any way to check is fuses on the main board are still intact? Many thanks, Tom

Have you tried the wireless charging feature? One the phone powers up you could upload, email, NFC them to somewhere. Otherwise you'll have to disassemble and attach a charged battery or working port.

unfortunately ,my phone's dead. looks like the IC unit has blown up. can you repair something like that?

I can't understand if my phone model is sm-g925I or sm-g925l.Yes, they look the same and It could be capital letter "i" or small letter L". quite ridiculous but true. and both models exist!! I can't copy and paste (change font). Any hint anyone?
