New dual cameras fill up the Galaxy S9+ and variable aperture lenses cover the sensor inside the phones. Pretty impressive hardware. And that is what we are here to test. How durable is the Galaxy S9?
With new aluminum and thicker glass we are already off to a good start while testing the Galaxy S9. The scratch test is first, followed by a series of other tests including a flame test and a bend test. Bend testing the Galaxy S9 is the ultimate test of structural durability. 2012 Faggot Aleks I actually get better sound via Bluetooth than my prior phone headphone jack.... However my old phone didn't have a special dedicated HiFi quad Dac like some LG phones. The average user would be fine. Half the people who complain that wired can sound better don't even use the proper equipment to take advantage of such HiFi Dacs.

I'm with you. Had it since release and abused the hell out of it. No case or screen protector ever and it is now my dedicated music player. It's also what I am writing this comment on. The battery is about 65% of what it was but it's one durable phone.

to be fair, from this point on forward I think we'll see a very similar design with each new model released. my S5 is nearly identical to my S7 from a frontal view and I don't see any way Samsung can really improve from the S9, aesthetically, of course.

JerryRigEverything love the channel. But i do have 1 critique. When testing the fingerprint readers of phones, you should register your fingerprint first, then scratch it. Because by scratching it first, when the fingerprint reader registers a new finger, it'll include the scratches in the scan as part of the finger image. So id like to see if an already registered print will work after its scratched. Plus its more likely to happen in that order too.

Register your fingerprint before scratching the fingerprint scanner and then test it without re-registering.

I use the headphone jack almost every day on my Note 8. Bluetooth has gotten better over the years but for REAL crisp audio, bluetooth ain't pulling it off.

Daan Klein For the most part, the entire phone is glass so he can't draw anything with his razor blade. But he could probably scratch it with the level 6+ picks he has

the s9 is really nice, have it for 5 months now, never used a case and screenprotector, only have 2 dings in the frame and 1 scratch at the back, and couple of micro scratches

I've got a bit upset in my alone time when gaming and chucked the phone across the yard, didn't hurt it a bit. I also used liquid glass and a case though.. but I mean I didn't like lightly throw it, I pitched that thing into space and it survived. Maybe Nokia had a hand in this.

Damn even after all this time my galaxy s9 is still staying strong bought it like 5 years ago the only problem is degraded battery but still the battery can last me one day with no heavy usage .With simple phone case that protects only its back glass I have no scratches on the front glass and that is very impressive at least no noticable scratches.

When I first got my 9+ it fell out of my back pocket and fell about 5ft onto ceramic tile with no case, it left a small smudge that could be wiped away on the top corner. Scared the shit out of me ever since then it's been in a case Lol

been using s9+ for the last six years as my daily driver phone. it's a solid phone indeed. so far the battery replaced for once and the physical buttons sometimes pop off but fixable with a little elastic glue
