I was indecisive, but for the same price that the iPad pro m4 cost me without any 256 GB accessory, I bought the S9 ultra tab with 5g, 512 GB and cover book keyboard case, and the truth is very content with its multitasking, performance, it does not heat anything playing heavy games with the graphics and FPS to the maximum, the battery loads in little more than an hour, and a good screen quality

screen size, price, battery life, charging speed, transfer files through window pc, free keyboard, storage, all these justify the S9 ultra

One thing a lot of reviewers seem to forget is that the ipads pen needs to be charged in order to work at all. For the S Pen, it only needs to be charged to use air gesture.

For the price of the s9 ultra on places like ebay (got my sealed unit for £660) its an absolute steal. I used to use the 12.9 ipad pros prior to this but hadnt had a tablet for a while since using my 16" MBP. Ive been loving the s9 ultra, i ordered the m4 ipad to check it out as i was curious but for DOUBLE the price of the s9 ultra....? hell to the no! 😂 i need it for watching media and photo editing, tab s9 ultra easily deals with that.

Typing this comment from an M4 iPad- I’m in the Apple ecosystem so everything is just too seamless to not go iPad for me. But if I had a Samsung phone it would be a no-brainer - the Dex multitasking and that big screen is too nice

Trust me guys the tab s9 is superior and more fun to use. One of the best I've owned . It comes w s pen in box , is water proof, can do higher level emulation , no limitations, better multi tasking , has micro SD card which is very valuable to me , has open operating system etc. Also apple got that apple pencil idea from Samsung

You can't go wrong with either but I do love my Tab S9 Ultra. I use it for gaming (COD) and all my streaming content. I highly recommend this device and this channel. Great video as always

You can enable developer settings on android and make transitions and animations etc for example 0,5 times speed so everything feels even more snappy :P hidden feature many don't know

I have the S9+ and it is awesome. Aspect ratio is great for movies and long web pages.

I wonder if samsung will put a Qualcomm elite or plus chip in their galaxy tabs when they release the tab s10 series. Because if the performance and efficiency of those chips are good, i would be interested in a Windows tablet, perhaps. The future of tablets is very interesting.

Regarding photo and video editing. Is there a better way than having to transfer files to tablet, edit, then transfer out?

I'm an Apple fan all the way since the first 9.7 Pro...what...10 years ago? I fell in love with the Pencil. I had the old Note Pro tablet first but didn't care for it. Fast forward and I'm going to get the best specs I can afford if I'm throwing my money around. So I wanted the new Pencil because, well...love! I can't do the Air...60 Hz is a joke. 256/512 Pro...8 GB of RAM? I have to bump up to get more RAM. The minimum was $1700 for an 11-inch with a Pencil. *sigh* So I'm rocking the S9 Ultra. I got it for around a grand...caught a sale. I will say I've always had Samsung Note/S series phones for the S Pen. So being in the same ecosystem is pretty cool for the first time in a long time. And the S Pen has dramatically improved since the first one. Lol. I'm not crying over the switch. I do miss some stuff, but I never used an iPad for business/professional-type stuff. It was for fun and entertainment with a few tasks that needed to be done. If you're making money with an iPad, it's worth it. For my use, I just can't do it. I can't spend $1700 on 11 inches when I know I can get a laptop that's better for that much. That's my heartbroken rant. Maybe next time, Apple. Maybe not. My one and only gripe about Samsung tablets is the apps aren't always optimized for tablets. But I've found plenty that work for my needs.

The issue with the haptic motor actually seems to be an issue with the bigger Tab S9 models. I tried the Plus and it had a weird sound as well. I actually changed down to the 11" base model S9 and it feels way better. Maybe they use the same motor on all three, and some space might be left unoccupied creating a hollow sound.

S9 ultra should be good for 1080p 30fps video editing right? That's what I mainly do for family video keepsakes, to look back in a few years.

To my surprise the M4 Ipad is a bit much to me and anything this device can do the M2 can also do. Ive watxhed videos on both these Ipads chipsetd and i don't really see much difference, let alone the M1. The Samsung 9Ultra on the other hand was made to rival that of the M4 Ipad (i perfer Android over Apple), i want frredom out of a device that does all my daily needs as well balancing out my personal life and work. Both are good devices, but if I were to choose it would be the 9Ultra.

I'm a fan of Samsung and really a fan of my Tab S7+, but honestly, the reason why I haven't upgraded since then is because the new Tab S don't bring anything in terms of power, they're still cruelly below the iPads, and even below the iPad Pro 2018. And those who say that the power of the M4 is useless is not honest, it serves to make the new iPad Pro M4 future proof, and with the arrival of emulation and alternative Stores on iOS/iPad OS, I can tell you guarantee that within 2 years when these M4 iPads will be around $600 reconditioned or second hand, and the M1/M2 even cheaper, Android tablets and especially Samsung (because of their price as high as the iPads), will have a hard time selling if they do not switch to processors like the X Elite. Just like today no one wants to buy a Google Pixel (because of Tensors) as expensive as a Galaxy S, in 1-2 years, no one will agree to pay for a Galaxy Tab S (with smartphone processors) as expensive if not more expensive than an iPad Pro M4, not to mention the M5/M6 which will be released in the meantime. Today, the iPad Pros have better screens than the Tab S while it was really one of the selling points of the Tab S, if tomorrow, Apple reforms "Stage Manager" and makes it as flexible as Dex, what strength does Samsung have left? As fans of Samsung/Android, let's stop hiding our faces and being complacent towards Samsung, we need at least a processor like Snapdragon possibility of dual boot Android/Windows, Windows for ARM is there and functional. Ps: on the other hand, if you manage to find a Tab S9, S9+ or S9 Ultra between $400-$700, it's a good deal. 🙏🏽

I don't have any problems with the haptic motor in my S9 Ultra. Also since i have this tablet, because of DEX I used it 95% as my main computer, no need for a laptop anymore. Of course if you want to do more professional work on a tablet the iPad would be better because of more programs available, it is more powerful for that, but if you do want to do more serious work a laptop would be a better buy. But for photo normal editing, some video editing, movie watching, gaming with a controller, the S9 Ultra is great. I especially love to connect it to a TV/monitor, connect a controller and play xbox games like that, you don't even need a console

I love everything about my galaxy tab s9 plus except that... The iPad has two things over Samsung: the better camera and the better suite of professional apps and app support. We only have lumafusion on the Google Play store. Would love to have some vector drawing Software like affinity designer. Nomad sculpt is on the Play store but apparently it is missing a feature that is exclusive on iOS. If Samsung can invest in the app support, the tab would easily be #1 in my opinion!

The iPad easily wins for performance. However, only some people need the blazingly fast M4, so the SD8G2 is good enough, aided by 12GB of RAM, for most users. But if you are using Procreate and other pro apps, some of which are not currently on Android (hopefully will come), then the iPad is the best. Ultra wins easily in terms of value, especially in its current late product cycle. For most users, the choice is based on preconceptions: the ecosystem, brand loyalty, or legacy use. So, it's a win-win-a great choice to be faced with!

I have owned different ipads and galaxy tabs. In general the galaxy tabs have been a much better choice for my usage. The ipad is a great device, but I can use my galaxy tab for a true second computer. I am trading in a tab s8+ for the s9 ultra because the trade in value is awesome at the moment. I am looking forward to use the galaxy tab s9 ultra as another laptop.

I have both iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. Yep the Ultra is best for multi talking and note taking. The s pen is lighter and the rubber tip.
