Just got the LTE connected yesterday through AT&T. Could not do it without going into the store, apparently with AT&T in US you have to have a card which I could have ordered online but it was just easier going into the store. Today will be first real usage day using and will see how the battery life is. Overheating definitely a concern. Just hoping that this is something Samsung can fix via firmware but who knows.

Can we not use Google maps on LTE without the phone? I tried to search for an address and it keep saying connect to your phone!! I was disconnected from the phone only 2 minutes

I have the galaxy and I have it with the plan. Love the watch and all it's features it offers. I have an app called my cards. I have my Lowes, dunkin and starbucks card on the watch so when I go into any of these establishments I just use my watch to pay or get the discount. Maybe do a video on this app so others out there who watch your videos know of this app.

Does auto switching work on your watch? I have the issue when I put it on auto switch, even when it is connected to Bluetooth, it still shows the network provider and signal bar strength but even with Bluetooth connected :/ does yours show the same? on the top drop down menu?

Shop set mine up incorrectly & it was really difficult to activate the e, sim package . Should you have call & text on other devices set to on with phone.

I have set up my service on lte version, sync and connect to my phone, have activated remote connection, however at times my watch says phone is off line, is there a setting on phone or watch to keep connected all time , i leave my phone at home when doing sports

My god,the peace of mind this video gave me was priceless…Look man I’ve had a bunch of these watch’s, sent several watch 2 back and Samsung found no fault…so I said screw lemme get 3 I no it won’t b happen with the upgrade…Andddddd Boom…the thing overheating even just streaming bloody Spotify… people unless u want a sun tan on your wrist do not play KZfaq…My god…so anyway I went ahead and kept the 3 for bk up an switch as we do…and well, I have the watch 4 my friend within my grasp as we speak and I wouldn’t Dare to take an important call in LTE mode, hell nah… your spot on you get a range of different time length b4 going into limp mode when on a call using any app that demands more work from the device… my man your vids are great and my apologies for the long ass comment but dam, if you knew the madness I’ve had with these you wouldn’t believe. side note ( I’ve found it happens more when in a building )… Just for a sneak peak into the madness that I suffered…I had my galaxy active 2 LTE exchanged 8 times, even went threw the trouble of having Samsung service centre just changing every single bloody component…and, Meh…so… Your most definitely correct, unfortunately the tech is just not quite there yet… And after all that… sheeeeet….the thing is still dope. I got the galaxy watch 4 Bluetooth 40mm, can I ask other owners who use gboard does it get stuck on intialising when you want to reply to a txt message using voice? I have uninstalled it multiple times and work for a few hours then gets stuck on the intialising again ? Who do I report this to Samsung or Google ?

When you are testing your watch in standalone lte mode and using Google Maps is your phone turned off wherever it may be?...I ask this because if my phone is off and I try to navigate to a destination with just my watch 4 classic lte it will not let me choose a destination... just says connect phone... any help would be appreciated... thanks. Honestly I love everything about my Galaxy watch 4 classic LTE....except battery life. It makes ZERO sense. some days I'll get 2 full days and some days I get 12 hours. No change in the settings or the amount I text on it etc. The battery percentage to know where all you power is going doesn't even add up. VERY frustrating.

I uh can use it for 2 days 2 full days I'm at 57 % and I only turn lte on when I need it which is rare I usually have my phone which pairs with my watch to give me messages. Just put a mostly black watch face or turn on grey scale. I have it set to triple tap the screen and it turns on. Thiers a bunch of ways to save battery

My Classic 46mm LTE never overheats, even during when I have Strava and Spotify on while using only LTE, and connected to bluetooth for my earbuds, and talking, or texting. My biggest complaint is the BAD battery life! By the time my 2.5 hour walking/running is done, my 100 percent battery goes down to around 35 percent! That is really horrible. Does anyone know if Strava and Spotify suck up battery life?

Hyping me to buy it. Got a budget of 2500 dollars for my studies, Tab S8 Ultra + this watch = Best student/gamer/sport experience for sure.

I've had much better battery life by setting the lte to always off. If I go for a run or don't take my phone I'll set it to auto. 44mm 38 hours of light use is the longest I have gotten without charging. LTE set to off.

I have LTE but I never recieve text messages. Even If I send one via the watch, I never recieve. But once my phone is paired to the watch, I get messages. How do I fix this?

Have you experienced screen burn in issues? I have received my watch two days ago and noticed the always on display has caused burn in after two days of use. Pretty sad other than that the watch is amazing

Can't confirm the quick battery drainage. Mine (lte model) will easily last 2 days including a 1-hour run in running mode, with about 25 % remaining.

My wife and I got an lte Galaxy watch 4 ( not classic) for Christmas, we spent 2 and 1/2 hours at at&t store yesterday and they could not fix our problem, which is when my wife calls my phone, my phone rings, my watch rings and my wife's watch rings also! (Even though her watch is paired to her phone) It's frustrating, so at this point we are just using Bluetooth. The techs could not figure the problem out. Has anyone else had this issue? Or know of a fix? Would gladly appreciate it. Our phones are s21 ultras btw. Edit, they tried resyncing, pairing, power down all devices and also replaced my phone's sim card, all to no avail.

I took my GW4 LTE for a swim (my phone wasn't nearby). Unfortunately the watch overheated seconds after I got in the water. This was the first time I encounted this issue.

Most people will not have to pay for the esim card itself or doing it on phone, however actual use of the esim does cost money for an extra plan.

I go t the LTE version, but I cannot get the watch to send text messages, not even emergency messages (neither in BT nor in LTE-mode). I do receive texts, and I can send via Telegram, WhatsApp and Signal. Does anyone have a clue what's going on?

I'm at about 15 % remaining after 15 hrs of mixed use LTE and Bluetooth

I get about 9 hours of battery life consistently, and that is with every single feature turned off, including wifi and either Bluetooth or LTE (but I haven't been away from my phone long enough for the watch to use LTE, and Verizon says I have 0 data usage). I disabled always-on display, disabled heart rate monitor, disabled O2 monitor, disabled lift wrist to turn on, disabled every fitness tracker and exercise auto-detect, set screen turnoff to 15 seconds, and so on and so on. Literally every feature on the watch is turned off, including the grayscale watch face, and yet I have to FULLY charge the watch right BEFORE bed, only for the wat h to sometimes die before I get put of bed. Then you have to charge the watch again, for ANOTHER two hours. So basically if you want to wear a smartwatch, you have to charge it for 2 hours, 3 times per day. That's 6 hours that the watch has to be charging just to get through a day. That kind of entirely defeats the purpose of a smart watch, nevermind the fact that I only get 9-10 hours (under extremely light use) when I turn off or downgrade every single feature of the watch. The sleep mode didn't help, and all that does different is turn on do-not-disturb, which I don't want. If you don't fully charge the watch for at least 2 hours every time, then you will end up needing to charge it more frequently. Then you will never have your watch with you when you want to use it, because it is always resting on the charger for extended periods of time. I saw a guy on Reddit who has the LTE model who says he always gets a full day and a half with EVERY feature turned ON, including AOD and constant heart rate monitor. Could be nothing but a joke, a troll, except the guy was serious and continued doubling down trying to prove himself. However, it is obvious that guy is total liar, so I don't understand what he thinks there is to gain by spending so much time and effort to lie to people who merely wish their watch lasted even close twelve hours. I would never have bought the watch, let alone pay for LTE service, if I knew charging it for 2 hours is barely enough to get through a single night's sleep even with every feature, sensor, screen, and connectivity option disabled. Pretty ridiculous. Why sell an LTE watch for $400 that costs $10/m on top of that, that can only last 2-4 hours of active ("heavy") use?

The ssamsung watch has fall detection and I've figred out to have it as a stand alone phone with out haven a verzon phone i paired me watch to a old verzon phone to scan the QR CODE that verzon gave me when i hooked it up online them went to settings on which went to connect to new phone and connected to my tracfone works great my watch bill is $10.00 plus $3.66 tax love it On my tracfone I get 1500 minutes and text for one year then get unlimited on watch I've have a google voice that is forwarded to both of them
