I had time to use the phone a bit and just wanted to share my thoughts and experiences as someone who uses a foldable daily along side a slab phone. Some of my thoughts have changed since this video though once I've actually had time to set up and use the 6 properly over a few days. Will be making an updated video soon!

No, your assessment was valid. Samsung really needs to up its own game rather than just following apple and the trends! They have the best tech on the industry, yet they go out of their way to make their phones subpar even when compared to their competitors. Example, pwm is a major issue of oleds where the displays flickers at lower brightness to give the illusion of lower brightness. However, anything lower than 480hz refresh rate of display, it can cause eye strain. Always using samsung phones, I would get headaches and nauseous, so cant use one for a long time. Only after the s24 series, they bumped it up to 492hz, especially when apple upped their refresh rate to 480hz in the iphone 13 series using samsung displays, which is what I am currently using, and the display looks good without causing eye strain. But this is still extremely low when compared to oneplus 12, which has 2160hz at low brightness, and dc dimming at higher brightness. The display itself is extremely pleasant to look at and fluid compared to even the s24 ultra! Samsung really needs to realise leading up to latest trends wont really help much, such as treating AI as a selling feature, when even their hardware lacks when compared to midrange phones! And their AI gimmick will be caught up by the midrange phones within a year or two, and thus Samsung’s impression of a “phone whose specs do not hold value over time” impression would grow, even with software updates. It is the reason why my brother switched to an iPhone, and majority of Indian friends who are well off to buy a flagship phone go for iPhones, or Chinese brands like oneplus, or even go with the midrange nothing phone 2. They really need to up their spec game!

AI is overrated. If this is what you are basing your new products on then Good Luck being successful this year. Between Google Assistant, Bixby and Siri get on our nerves as it is. It’s been years since Samsung dropped real Upgraded Phones. Excellent video and review. Really appreciate your unbiased review.

Thanks for your feedback. I agree the assistants are sometimes more trouble than they're worth. Really hoping they can improve with some AI enhancements

The outcome of US sanctions on Huawei can be seen in the Galaxy Z Fold 6, without competition the consumers end up paying more for a phone that is not worth the money. Both Apple and Samsung don't even have to try to convince the consumers now days, when Huawei was around, Samsung wouldn't dare to release a phone without given much changes and release it on to the market.

i have had some hands on with the 6 at best buy and the screen while not a huge jump in size but honestly it was quite a difference. i thought the same thing when i had the 3 and went to the 4. major difference in usability imo. i personally like the skinny form factor, if i want more realestate i just open it

Yeah I agree the slim form factor makes it good for one handed use like the older more compact phones.

Which one? I change out wallpapers so often but most of them are just looping videos and not actual live wallpapers

A lot of these reviews and for the galaxy phones bring out AI a lot. Is AI really a thing to be excited about? I’m an iPhone user. No hate. But what would I need a phone that’s focused on AI. It just seems like something that should just come with the phone but not be a main thing for the phone. I haven’t had a galaxy phone since the 8. And back then phones were more prone to break. I’ve had my iPhone 12 Pro Max for 3 years now and I don’t see any differences as to when I got it new. Or compared to the new models. So I don’t get why ppl complain about a 5 being so similar to the 6. You’re not supposed to be getting a new phone every year. And if you can that’s good but come on

Yeah I agree AI is just an added bonus so the whole phone release shouldn't be hinged on just AI. Plus they are saying eventually you will have to pay for the services anyway so by then it definitely doesn't feel worth it

Samsung fold still cant solve crease issue when compared to Major chinese brand like Oppo Huawei xiaomi vivo 😂 all 4 fold from these big 4 Chinese brand come with crazy camera and superior hardware to Zfold.

yeah those chinese foldables really look so futuristic but its really hard to get here in the US, plus no workplace will authorize them so competition is really slim

@@mitismee I think he meant some companies (especially where data integrity is important. EG: An engineer working in pharma). Your personal work phone will have to be evaluated before using company software and the chinese foldables will most likely get rejected.

Wish Samsung make 2 Version *1st* with as it is *2nd* with 5500mAh battery, better Camera, 25w Wireless charging, 75w wire charging, etc *Dont care if 2nd Fold is thicker & for $2600*

Samsung fold is the worst phone I have ever owned. The large screen broke twice within a year.. good luck with the Fold 6!!

Lots of complaints about the flip too but I've had 2 generations and 0 issues but I can see what could happen.

I have the Fold 4 and played with the new Fold 6 yesterday at BestBuy it looks fantastic, but the cover screen is too small to upgrade to. I am soooo disappointed, I played with the Huawei foldable overseas OMG hands down blows away Samsung, but it has no stylus. They perfected both the cover screen and crease inside.
