in 1930, Maharaja Jai Singh the king of Alwar visited the Rolls Royce showroom to inquire about the vehicle but was rudely shown the way out due to his ordinary appearance, he got angry and bought all the rolls Royces they had in the show room, took them back to India, put brooms on them and turned them in to garbage collection cars to sweep roads in his country. Rolls Royce had to go back to him to apologise and beg him to stop cause the company was going down the drain since no wealthy man wanted to be associated with a garbage collection car anymore and it took rolls Royce years to rebuild that brand back up.
