These writer’s boxes are beautiful. I intended to get one for myself for my 45th birthday. I researched and found way too many people talking about the warping issue. My husband dabbles in woodworking and he told me that the warping issue sounds like there’s something wrong with the initial treatment of the wood. I believe that Galen outsources that wood. Long story short, I went with a writer’s box from Blue Star Crafts instead and I love it. It’s very similar to the Galen box and it’s a tad more expensive but I’m glad I got it. I use it to journal in bed every night and it has become a beloved staple.

I got a writers box a few years ago and while I love it, the top is made of two pieces put together. So there is a gap in the middle where they join. Which makes it impossible to write on as intended. At the time I thought it was the design of the piece, but after seeing yours im jealous the top is a single piece.
