Why 2 pac is a mentor to me. When I call upon God I also put God's soundtrack in as well. Because God didn't just create churches and beautiful places. God created all things that are beautiful and that are gritty as well. Emotions run up and down depending on the situation. You have happiness, Joy, sadness, anger and all these emotions that put us in the position to call upon God with laughter or with tears. That's where to me Tupac's lyrics stand out the most, it's the ride up and down somewhere in between the beautiful and the ugly moments in life. When I call upon God I also put an Angel in CD player, because he not only raps about the Good he brings light onto topics that need to be looked at. The bad the ugly the gritty truth that some go through life wrapped up in a warm house with everything they could want and not even have a clue to what's awaiting them as an adult. For instance a young man may get his first car and may have a friend who says hey let's get high. They may go over to a bad part of town to get it. Then when they get jacked that young man's world is turned upside down. No see this is where Tupac s music shines by opening everyone's eyes to the real reality that's out here. The reality and truth the schools and parents don't want to talk about. Tupac is a mentor teaching you to watch your ass. Teaching you to take care of your women in your life. Teaching you to beware of the corrupt system. Teaching you that not everybody has a warm house and hot meal to go to. Tupac is REAL 💯 NO FAKE. He is a best friend when the ones you trust stabbed you in the back. A role model when the role model you had lead you down the wrong road. A father figure like Tre father in BOYS IN THE HOOD To teach you the right way. He is a Legend and just like fine wine is better in Time. That's my thoughts on Pac.
