The ship was built in 1985 for the film Pirates, she is located in the city of Genoa, Italia.
This is one of the stop on the MSC cruise Grandiosa so we went from one ship to other.

Ironically Galleons were rarely used by pirates if at all. They were naval warships, used for exploration and used for commerce. The Galleon was dubbed treasure ship which may be why they are thought to be "Pirate" ships. That and media like "Pirates of the Caribbean".
