I just took the Gallup interview, it was mostly yes/ no questions, pick 1-10 where you see yourself and then behavioral questions. For example, once they ask the question say a yes or no, then would say share an example of when that happen. Mine lasted 45 minutes. Thank you Arun for the information it really help me get my focused on questions and my thought process needed to me. You do need to prepare for it. They told me there was nothing to prepare for.

Thank you! New subscriber here. I'm taking my Gallup in less than 2 hours for a major medical device company notorious for its love of the Gallup system. I'll follow up and let you know what happens!

@@ArunThukral hi! Well, I made it to the next round of interviews, so I guess I did well. I definitely didn't feel like it though! I'm REALLY good at interviewing normally. I'm very good at appearing confident and calm, and if it's open format and I'm allowed to make it a normal conversation for me, I win every time. For the Gallup, I watched a ton of yours and others' videos and took notes, I read about it, I meditated beforehand, and I even purchased the Clifton Strengths Assessment (which I recommend whether or not you're doing a Gallup.) Let me tell you... I sweated every single second! I REALLY do not like "yes or no" questions! I even told the interviewer that I've never realized how much I talk until Gallup...and I've known myself for 38 years! I went into overtime and had to continue the following day-but the interviewer said that that's very common. I still felt terrible about it. She had to remind me several times to answer only yes or no, and that she would tell me if she wanted me to elaborate. (Continued...)

In regards to your information though, I will vouch for you that your videos are on point and definitely useful for those going into a Gallup. I was able to see the trends in questions meant to check my consistency. Several of your examples were verbatim, like "how many hours a week would you say you devote to work?" I was glad you'd made me think about that ahead of time. Something that came up for me which I didn't see in any of the videos I watched about Gallup: questions to which I don't have the answers. I'm the type who has no problems admitting when I don't know something. I trust others, especially leaders at work, more when they'll admit that...and then we can go learn together. So I always admit it. I didn't struggle with this really, but I think because there are so many direct questions about intangible things like your own personality, I could see people feeling like it would be inappropriate to not have an answer. The only question kind of like this which I remember right now is: "in the past two weeks, what innovative or extraordinary ideas have you come up with?" I'm surprised that didn't shake me. I thought for a minute (without saying "ummmmm") and it dawned on me that most people probably don't have "extraordinary" new ideas every two weeks, especially while job hunting! So definitely don't get caught trying to be superhuman! I would have sounded so fake if I'd have made something up! But Thank you Arun! Your content was very helpful! And fingers crossed for me that I pass the next round...this job is a HUGE promotion for me

Hi Arun, thanks for this great vid! Just a quesiton here, do we need to give example for every single questions or just the bahavioral and competency based questions? How about those yes/no questions or score based questions?

Well - thats a bit tricky ... there are questions which are very apt n specific - so no need to add examples ... but in most questions ... it requires

Thanks. Subscribed. Just a thought but not sure you want to be saying 10 to 15 hours. These days it’s all about work life balance and saying you do 15 hours could indicate you are disorganised and therefor have to put in extra hours to stay on top. I’d also say 9 for organised - for 10 suggests there is never any room for improvement - almost an arrogant answer. Just my thoughts, not sure what others think?

Thanks Fant234 ! Your observation is correct and very apt … In Gallup , there are many questions that are linked to each other due to Artificial Intelligence , thus consistency is the key … I 2. Like 9 out of 10 is good response … a 10 or 11 is always better … which means 9 is not going to reject anyone , but 10 or 11 may help , when the overall ratings given ( A plus or A) 3. In Gallup , when you give answers , there is no counter question to justify your answer - like what happens in a face to face interview … Hope the above helps ! With best wishes .. Arun
