One thing I have to commend hard about Yamaha. When players like Wes Borland or Frank Gambale get a signature model it's what they want and not just a tarted up production model. Ibanez have let a lot of good players walk away when they shouldn't have and Frank was one. Before Kiesel I was expecting PRS to be knocking but they seem to have done Frank well. However I do have a preference for his use of Dimarzio rails for his sound. The best balance of dark and bright I think is his HS sounds.

3:16 WOOHOO CHOPBUILDER WORKOUT THEME!!! I memorized the booklet and could keep up with Frank in the triplets. My 16ths lagged a bit and the final stretch voicings were what made me realize that my abilities as a guitarist might never rise to meet my basic musical requirements...

I’ve found a yellow one lpf and from a red one I made the salmon pink . May be one day I will be able to have good fingers too like Maestro Gambale. Great musician and guitarist👏👍

Gambale has the very first 540 style guitar and was the first to use the Ibanez model. He improved it very much and those improvements became the FGM series of signature guitars for him. It would be so cool if Frank worked with Ibanez again. I'd love to buy a FG signature but Kiesel's unethical business practices put me off spending money with them.

Ibanez thrived during the mid 80s to mid 2000. Players such as Frank show little interest and rightfully so. He had or has some Ibanez guitars that have character. Thats not present anymore in not just Ibanez but some other house hold name companies. If you want character you end up spending over 1000 or more for something that has limited preferences
