Another gem of Monster Hunter music is the Kulve Taroth medley from the Monster Hunter World OST . I was actually quite surprised by some of the Monster Hunter music references in it. One of them in particualr is quite puzzling...

Hay, Davi Vasc. I absolutely love your videos, and I am also a music artist and lover as well. I have a challenge for you. I have recently made a mash-up for All Souls games. My challenge to you is to see if you can find all of the hidden references I put in that song. I would really appreciate it if you would make a video doing that, but it's your choice. If you do decide to make a video doing this challenge you can do so free for profit. Just make sure you credit me and leave a link to my channel in the description. Thank you so much for everything that you do have a blessed day. Link to the song: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/arOGh6mB183IhGw.htmlsi=dIQD4RFM9_QtMdgE

I see the similarities to the Astera Theme throughout this song, its almost like this theme and the Astera one has a "question and Answer" between them, with the Astera theme posing the "questions" throughout the game with Kulve Taroth having the "answers" only at the end of the base game

I find the picking out of notes and hints of other themes fascinating, in fact the fact that a thunder related theme comes up and the icey notes appear makes me feel the melodies trying to remind us of Kulves weaknesses, being Main Ice Damage with her coat off. And Thunder does extra chaining damage when she's coated in gold.

Nice, I was just thinking about you doing this one, and you post it! The Zinogre part certainly is weird, lol. I think it's just pure coincidence that it happens to be nearly the same melody, though. But overall, Kulve's theme is awesome! She's sometimes referred to as the "Mother Goddess" in game, which I think the composer did a great job capturing. The strings and high-pitched metallic percussion capture Kulve's beauty from her gold coat, while the organ really sells the "goddess" part of her name, combined with some of the more low and intense parts warning you that there's a more sinister side to this "Mother Goddess." Then, when you incite her fury in the last phase of the Arch-Tempered (or MR) version of the fight, the choirs kick in to show the Goddess' rage. The music fits perfectly with the gameplay too, especially the last phase. By then, Kulve Taroth has led you to the deepest part of her lair, where the very ceiling to the cave is melting, giving the room a wonderfully ominous and intense lighting, which also looks strangely beautiful when paired with the gold and silver surroundings. The music does a fantastic job of capturing the spectacle of the fight right at this moment. It's just something you have to experience.

zinogre is the original fanged wyvern, the skeleton in which kulve taroth uses, for the longest time zinogre was the ONLY fanged wyvern and when world came out we got an army of brand new fanged wyverns and zinogre was nowhere to be found in the roster. kulve taroth while an elder dragon uses the fanged wyvern skeleton and to me, the zinogre theme snippet being in kulves theme is just a teaser telling us he was in fact coming (which he did in iceborne)

@@athos9293 you have it backwards, Odogaron is the odd one out despite being a fanged wyvern it has the aberrant skeleton. jagras and the rest of the world fanged wyverns do in fact have the zinogre skeleton, they are just positioned lower to the ground in order to give off that more 'lizard' look that they wanted for worlds fanged wyvern trio (not including odo)

THANK YOU FOR REVIEWING HER GOLDEN MAJESTY'S THEME!!! I love her theme so much. It gives "Here comes the Golden Queen, be amazed!" at first phase, the second one gives "Don't tempt her, you don't want to make her angry!". Then the third phase is "Too late, she is angry now"

Depending on when you fought Kulve Taroth initially, AT Kulve Taroth actually replaced regular Kulve in the siege, and MR Kulve is regular without phase 1 of the siege. I genuinely didn't know that AT Kulve had a different variation of the theme, but it makes sense now that the version in the OST online never matched up to my memory of the battle. very fascinating to learn about. My favourite tibit about Kulve vs MR Kulve is that she's almost like the reverse in colouration compared to other AT monsters. Other elder dragons have "muted" colours and their AT forms have the more intense colourations (Teostra looking almost like he's made of rubies in his AT form imo) whereas regular Kulve looks like intense gold, and AT Kulve is more muted and like white gold. Granted the white gold appearance is really striking for AT Kulve, and makes for a beautiful contrast considering her natural form colouring is still intense in comparison to regular elder dragons. Oh also! the vocals in AT (and MR regular) ONLY kick in when you break her horns off. We've taken her golden mantle off and broken her horns. We've almost reduced her from her beautiful almost godly form to that of a rage-filled monster and yet her theme is the most full and deadly sounding. As for the Zinogre theme appearing somewhat, I'm wondering if it's just the melody progression, or if it was chosen specifically to convey Kulve's sort of change in demeanour. Before, she was just living her life in the caverns, then got irritated and started fighting back properly but still holding back, and then when we break her horns she's prepared to fully fight to the death and unleash her true capabilities.

Once you get to G-Rank you can fight Kulve pretty comfortably. She's got an entirely different quest that's separate from the siege there. Her fight still has some wonkiness with the time limit, but her HP and everything is balanced so that you can take her on solo if you want, and I mean it in a realistic way. Not in the "you can take on high rank kulve solo but it'll take you 5 hours for one siege" way.

It does, however, mean that if you join an existing Safi siege lobby, you can run it by yourself every attempt and succeed relatively quickly since the whole lobby is working towards draining the energy of the three areas.

Monster Hunter takes the cake for best soundtracks/themes in my books! They just have so much thought put into them, so many small details from lore, location, abilities, relationships with other monsters, emotions etc. They always do such a good job at portraying how the monsters should make you feel. And the way the music progresses and changes throughout the fight like the last phase is usually more heroic to display that you’re winning. Love MH so much and hope it never loses its spark like a lot of other games have!

The closest relationship between kulve and zinogre that i know of is that kulve supposedly have the fanged wyvern body type (like jagras, girros and dodogama), and the father of all fanged wyvern is zinogre. He is the first, and for a short time the only, fanged wyverm to ever designed. So it might imply that kulve evolved from a fanged wyvern ancestor.

Wonder what the Zinogre theme is about either it's to hint at Kulve's lightning weakness (though that doesn't make much sense this far into the fight). What's more likely is they were hinting at Iceborne with this and the icy piano. Pretty sure they were far into Iceborne dev at that point to be like 90% done

The Arch-Tempered versions feel so different from the classic versions that I find myself trying to reconize part when I'm lisntening at the AT themes. For exemple when you fight for the first time an Arch-tempered Nergigante, you expect the restless theme that we knew until now. But then a totally different theme come, heavier, epicness with Stars at our back parts and more stressful moments too. But, it's still Nergigante and you kinda ear it. Kulve Taroth is a cool and gorgeous monster to fight, with each phase getting more and more intense. My problem with her (and Safi'Jiva) is that they're siege fights. Meaning you have to get an entire lobby of 16 players on board doing it at once and on pace. Which brings in more complications one way or another if a group is off enough (or even non existent). Kulve atleast got a master rank quest that threw the siege mechanic in the dumpster, and was all the better for it.

It might be a far reach, but to try to explain the Zinogre part, maybe it's because Kulve has one of its signature moves, which is stomping suddenly with one of her front paws... yeah kind of weak explanation. The strangest thing I noticed is one of MHDos OST seems to contain a part of Kulve melody... At least the part that plays in hub when Kulve is available as siege. It's in the OST named "Desiring Flame in the Land of the Beasts" around 48 seconds in.

try doing a song from the new game ''Undertale Yellow''. Here are a few options: 1-Guns Blazing 2-A Mother's Love 3-Trial By Fury 4-Retribution 5-Forlorn. I would love to see you react to these amazing songs.

I think the zinogre theme is just a case of a composer using the same harmonic/ melodic language of their style in multiple themes without intentionally doing it

Honestly my best guess at the Zinogre connection is that he’s the progenitor of the fanged wyvern class, which world was the first to finally expand on. Kulve Taroth obviously isn’t a part of them, but does share a skeleton and some animations alongside some. Maybe since fanged wyverns finally got some love they put it in her theme?

I mean, considering she's built like a fanged wyvern, elder dragon or not it still makes her a fanged wyvern, no? Just that she's powerful enough to be classified an elder dragon

@@VetrDraugr yeah its the same with dalamadur although you said elder dragon is to do with power but its actually just if they know how it is able to exist and fit in how it does in the ecosystems they are found in like for example kulu ya ku wouldve been an elder dragon if they didnt know how its existence worked

I was thinking about it the other day... kulve taroth theme having the zinogre leitmotif is so weird... my only guess its that, they are related on some evolutionary level... when she takes off the gold mantle, it does have the same body type, so thats why im guessing that... but overall they are so different from each other right?

Great video! I can't help but wonder if the "Zinogre part" of the theme is in part due to kulve using a fanged wyvern skeleton for its model (therefore the jagras->great jagras->greatest jagras->kulve tarroth jokes), with Zinogre being the first (and only along with sygian until fifth gen) fanged wyvern. That's my first thought when I hear the Zinogre theme at least.

13 sentinels aegis rim というゲームのBGM -[DEOXYRIBOSE]-のレビューをお願いしたいです! 16分音符の細かい4つ打ちで構成された曲で、アッパーハイテンションな素晴らしいBGMです。 I would like to request a review of the BGM -[DEOXYRIBOSE]- for a game called 13 sentinels aegis rim! It is a wonderful BGM with upper high tension, consisting of a fine Four on the floor with 16th notes.
