We were up at Woodward West recently and Morgan Wade and Adam Banton decided to play a game of BIKE with one of the camp instructors (Zach Shoemaker) and one of the local riders from Tehachapi that works at the camp (Patrick Overturf). They ended up doing more talking than riding, but it was an extremely entertaining afternoon in the Enterprise to say the least...

2:50 Sums up everything about kids nowadays, they learn how to tailwhip before anything else, insane, that same kid couldn't even attempt a footplant or get anywhere near a 540 tap, but blasts out a perfect tailwhip, tells me everything I need to know.

Either you get a gyro where you can spin the bars as many times as you want, without having to untangle, or you could run a long straight cable (like me) which you have to unwind the cable when you barspin or tailwhip which is a bit of a pain in the arse sometimes

Yea that was my initial thought, I'm a newbie and tried barspinning and couldn't get it for shit so I figured I would let that trick wait while I perfected the beginner stuff. But yea I also love taking it out on the dirtjumps and you need brakes there..

@questionmarkil i think it is because you are not trusting yourself. in other words, you keep sliding your foot off because in your gut feeling you know you won't land it. you just have to build up your self confidence and turn as fast as possible. bunny hop high too. i hope this helps a little bit

I agree that brakeless is pretty dumb. but it helps alot. alot of people go brakeless for a month or so to get used to not relying on the brakes for every trick, and then once you get that you can go back to brakes.

I went out to my local bike park and there was a guy riding the beginner jumps brakeless, he completely overshot the first jump and ate shit... hope he learned his lesson haha.
