Just Incase anyone’s wondering about what goodwill does with the money, they keep it. It’s a for profit business. The owners and high ups are worth millions. It’s meant to work so that people give things away then they’re sold for really cheap to help people who are struggling be able to get stuff they need. The money doesn’t go to anything other than the business itself. How they help is by sourcing the free stuff for others to then purchase for cheap. So instead of people with nothing getting free stuff that they need, they still have to pay for it at a goodwill. It’s still a good cause and helps a lot of people but it’s not as amazing as many people think. And how the business works and the fact that it is even a business isn’t exactly morally sound but it is what it is.
