Horrible example but the final movie of Twilight did something like this where it was simply a character’s vision of what could happen, but the audience of course were lead to believe this battle with so many of the main people dying actually was going on. They could start when Tyrion approached Bran after the battle strategy room and said "I heard you have gone through different things, I want to hear about it, about your new abilities" and they cut the scene? Well what we saw in Season 8 could be what Bran told Tyrion what the future would be like. And then we go back to them talking and Tyrion goes "it's not gonna happen like that". And we get a whole new Season 8 from this point on where Tyrion mastermind things so they do not become how they became.

Yowatsapp 05 No they aren't. Daenerys was always going to end up like that. Even in prior seasons we were given glimpses into her bouts of madness and her mental slope. The issue is how D&D rushed everything in the end and just had it all combust. It was direction and timing. Had they extended the show into one or two more seasons, her madness would have made a better entrance.

The books always point to the reality that house targaryen and the dragons don't have a place in the world anymore.

@Dabarawah Jacob I liked him fine at the beginning. I always knew he was a bit dumb, but he was a likable character at least. I completely lost it though in the season 7 episode when he didn’t get on Drogon with everybody else. Everybody was on him and they were basically saying “come on, get on and let’s go.” But he decided to just kill a bunch more wights instead for no reason. That cost them like 30 seconds, which gave the Night King the opportunity to throw his spear and hit Viserion. If he had just gotten on Drogon, they all would have flown away. Instead, Jon gave the Night King time to hit Viserion. That, of course, gave him an Ice Dragon, which allowed him to destroy the Wall and the army of the dead could march south. All of that was Jon’s fault because he was a dumbass. And God only knows what his plan was facing Ice Dragon Viserion at the very end with no sword or anything. I guess he was just going to use bad language. And finally, he was lucky he didn’t get his ass roasted by Drogon at the end after he killed Dany. I have no idea why he didn’t kill him.

Jon Snow is the moral center of GoT. He is the north. He is true north. He may not be as much fun as Tyrian or Jamie or Bronn or Arya. But there are few who are more decent. Ok, maybe Brienne is just as decent as Jon Snow, but she's even MORE boring and she's less tragic. And Davos may be just as decent as Jon Snow, and he is also an interesting character. But he is not the pivotal character, the essential character, the person who has to make the tragic choice in order to save humanity. Yes, there's something a bit bumbling about Jon Snow. The key scene, I think, to understanding him and his role is his conversation with Davos right after his resurrection. "I thought I knew what that was . . . but I failed." And Davos says, "Good. Now go fail again." Jon keeps failing his way - into saving the world. Daenerys was necessary. The murder of Daenerys was necessary. Jon Snow was the agent of the necessary. The tragic agent of the necessary. If you don't like Jon Snow, you just don't like the moral core of Game of Thrones. Dany THOUGHT everything she did was moral and in some ways it was because she outlawed slavery and liberated Yunkai, but she also ruled by fear and violence sometimes too. There were times when she didn’t have to kill people but chose to anyway and her “madness” came out more and more as the show progressed. Jon, for the most part, stayed pretty much the same. You’re right, he just did what he felt was decent and then I guess tried to step up as a leader once he was voted to be Lord Commander. It was probably just bad writing, but I just can’t get past him not getting on Drogon in that season 7 episode. It just makes no sense. I would love to read how GRRM writes that scene, assuming he goes that route. He’s said that we’ve seen an ending, but it might not necessarily be his ending.
