From what I can tell, collecting the cubes creates another layer of doubt as to whether one person's actions at a specific moment might actually be treasonous, or if they're simply trying to gather the cubes they need to fulfill their victory objective.

You've convinced me to get this for my brother. If anyone here is a fan of resistance, check out Avalon. It's the same game but with a bunch of twists that you can add if you choose.

I think without the individual goals, the game is too easy for the conspirators to win. With the individual goals, there will be times when the conspirators (who outnumber the loyalists) will HAVE to intentionally succeed on missions in order to further their own personal goals.

Great review! As a fan of both Universes, would you say the Marvel Social Deduction Game Hail Hydra is more enjoyable?

MyMiniMovieMagic I would say that’s the case. He mentioned Hail Hydra as his favorite social deduction game in the Top 10 they did a couple of weeks ago and they had already played this. I believe Sam included this in his Top 10

@@DoctorGarro I think it was Zee who included Oathbreaker, though it was lower on his list than Tom had Hail Hydra on his list. (mentioned @ 9:26)

Jake K I went back to check and actually Sam included both Hail Hydra (at 8) and Oathbreaker (at 9). Zee didn’t include them in his Top 10.

Personally, I enjoy The Thing more than Hail Hyrda. Haven't played Oathbreaker but From the looks of it, I'd put it lower than the previous.

I preordered the game last month directly from the publisher. According to their site, it comes out this month with preorders to be delivered 2 weeks prior to wide release.

I love GOT, I love social deduction games. But, this game... It's a no for me :/

So true, the seasons after Benioff and Weiss took over are atrocious. The answer to who will die, is no one important. They should have added a card in the game called "plot armour".

246trinitrotoluene - to truly represent the TV show the game should be split into seasons. The first 4 would be fantastic and then a gradual decline would begin in season five. The game would start as a heavy euro but turn into one of those games about dog poop. Previously intelligent characters would be rendered impotent, story lines & character arcs dropped or forgotten without explanation or resolution, past actions retconned for the sake of convenience, terrible dialogue, & all sense of nuance lost in favour of the spectacle.
