The NK has brought winter with him a few times already, at hardhome 5x08 and in 7x01 when we first saw wight giants. Jon said himself "The true enemy wont wait out the storm, he brings the storm"

It needed Melisandre to remind Arya in that total mindloosing mess of a fight to that particular words of her first fighting teacher respectively "Dancing Master" the legendary "First sword of Bravos" the tiny Cyriel Forell to remind her of her true self-imposed purpose which was not to fight the dead but to protect her family respectively now Bran who was the only reason for what the NK was coming to Winterfell... as same as Cyriel did for her back then by saying that exact same line/question to her and which was the point where her long journey to become a reckless killer started.. so therefore after being reminded by Melisandre she went straight to the weirwoodtree to hide and for waiting to that particular moment to kill the threat of her family the NK instead of further taking part of that big fight against the dead.. and Theon at the end gave her unknowingly this opportunity by distracting everybody around the NK with his entirely superficial but in reality very important charge (but inspired by Bran with his words of redemption just for that particular reason - that "old 3eyed raven mind trickster")... and so then as a true faceless man assassin - "unseen and unheard and unexpected" (=the trademark of a faceless man) - like "a wisp of wind" - which was noticed by one of the White Walkers - she got towards the NK with a sneak-attack and with that sort of similar trick which she already showed as she was sparring with Brienne she killed him... For me personally all fits together..

No one seems to remember the blizzard that the Wight's attacked Hardhome with. It's nothing new.

she met when the red lady took Gendry from Dondarian and Thoros they turned Gendry over to her Arya called her a witch and she studied her face and said we'll meet again and the line about closing brown eyes green eyes and Blue eyes.

Fav part for me this episode was. The story they told w Arya. This Bad ass w tremendous fighting skills shown vulnerable when the Dead storm the castle. For a split second she was that little girl again trying to figure everything out But still her answer to death was NOT TODAY!! great writing Holy moly this episode was intense. I was on the edge of my seat the entire episode. A bit difficult to keep track of it all. So much going on hahaha i am in shock I am broken and everything in between

I dont think Arya is the Waif.. When she hooked up with Gendry they showed the scars on her body that would have been caused by the Waif when she was trying to kill her. I think that was a hint as to her actually being Arya
