What's super fucking raw about it is that the entire male line of House Frey *evaporates* in a single night. The only thing the witnesses can say is that Walder Frey poisoned his own sons, then removed his own face to reveal a young unnamed girl, and dropped that line.

Yep, they killed the impact of this scene, with that S6 Finale. Kinda wished they kept it as a flash back or something. They already had Dany's alliance setting sail, they didn't need another scene to balance out Cersei's victory. Walder ate and found out about the pie, but cut-to-black before Arya revealing herself and killing Walder. Sure the cut-to-black was infamously used in the Sopranos. But here, there was another season coming.

Agreed! Like the first reply said, maybe hint that the servant girl could be Arya in the season 6 finale. Then intercut the flashback of Walders assassination with the reveal she's wearing his face. It would've had even more of a surprise factor here since she was coming from across the Narrow Sea back to Westeros and it was before fast travel was introduced. Still tho the best cold open and season opening scene imo

The ending sucked but as you can see with all the spin offs and the amount of views in a years old video like this one, GOT is engrained forever in the fabric of adventure lore just like Star Wars, LOTR, and the rest.
