This is reinforced by Ace and Kimberly's hysterical laughing upon falling into the pit." It's possible to die if you're tickled too much, but even that confused me for the first time when I saw it...

He has so many ways to die a horrible and terrifying death, getting melted, falling a mile down a space cliff, getting eaten, crashing, exploding, shocked to death, drowning, crushed to death, shattering your entire skeleton by slamming and breaking through a wall, burnt to death, getting shot by a laser, this guy is in the cute fun game equivalent of dark souls
