There is definitely corporate cut and paste content out there, but I've never put you guys in that category. Keep up the good work man!

I liked how you talked about toxicity in games. I always tell my daughter to not feed into the bait, or use that to make her to play harder in a game. And I even run into adults that do the same thing. That's why I always enjoy the aspect of muting general chat or ignoring the private messages, because it pisses off the toxic person even more.

Props for including a critical question in the ones you chose to address, when you didn't have to. As a newspaper editor, we do the same thing with our opinion pages. It hurts sometimes, but it does so much to show your integrity, not to mention the thickness of your skin.

Oh wow, I didn't realize how much I appreciate Gameranx until you discussed that comment of it being formulaic. I find the channel/company to be truly tuned in on the craft of gaming with clear love for it. The "what made [x] such a big deal?" , "What Killed [x]"?, and especially "The 10 best games of [year] we never forgot" are fantastically researched deep dives and lists. Tell your team there is much love for the effort put into all the videos, but definitely the deep dives!

You are one of my favorite content creator on KZfaq. In this world full of toxicity, I love how your videos are very positive and wholesome.

The animated adaptation(s) of The Dark Knight Returns (it's a two-parter) are a couple of my favourite movies ever. The animation, the music, the voice acting... each is a prime example of what adapting such a story to the animated medium can add to the experience, and the movies absolutely nail each, in my opinion. This might run contrary to the advice given in this video, but I highly recommend the movie(s) to anyone even only somewhat interested in the Batman character/series!

For Batman, I feel like you can never go wrong with Year One, Long Halloween, Court of Owls, and the White Knight series to start and branch from. Chip Zdarsky is about to start his run on Batman, he's currently writing an incredible Daredevil at marvel.

I recommend batman going sane, it's a comic that never gets mentioned and is a classic joker story

AMEN! I had the same thing happen for game of thrones for me too. I read the first book after the first episodes and then just couldn't really get into it. So much lore I didn't have to keep up with.

No Man's Sky is the PERFECT example of evolving over time. That game was the biggest lie when it came out but in 2022 that game is 100% better and insane to see how big it is now. They just released a new update this month called outlaws.

I turn to the smaller youtubers when I want to learn about a game that's been out for a few years. There are a bunch of videos titled "Is __________ worth playing in 2022?". That's a great way to find out about new content and bug fixes.

I am always late to the party lol. I just want to say if you see this for one I love your Friday News show I watch it religiously on Saturday morning with breakfast and I have totally trust in your before you buy videos you do a incredible job also your personal channel is a blast. You should do a live video someday and take questions from a chat. :)

In regards to the Elden Ring review question, and the idea of making a whole video about it, Alanah Pearce recently did a video deep dive on why she thinks the game was so highly reviewed and how the Souls community can be kind-of a hype echo chamber that I found really interesting! You're right about the Batman comics, but go back earlier and check out all the Batman stories that were drawn by Neal Adams. Starting in the late sixties, Neal brought the "dark" to "Dark Knight" when the character had been defined by the cheezy, goofy, TV version of Batman.
