The best part is that 47 has flashbacks of when he “killed” Diana throughout the story to show how he’s disturbed by what he’s done even though he knows she’s not dead 😂

This is the only Hitman game I've played. I didn't remember that the plot existed.

I honestly don't understand how mistakes like how little money the girl was valued at get through a development team. Just make her worth a billion dollars or something ambiguous that's hinted to be extremely valuable. Instead we end up with people holding near unlimited money fighting to the death over pocket change.

Even as a teenager, I always thought it was so weird that 47 was a known character considering he's a silent assassin.

Those skin textures and lighting are amazing for 2012 ! Every few years I get this out and try to play it as a Hitman game, and it IS impossible. You HAVE to COD the levels.

This was such a weird game. On one hand it seriously upgraded a lot of the janky elements of the older games and made the assassinations a lot more intuitive, while on the other hand the mission structure didn't feel anything like what you want from a Hitman game. I'm just glad it led to the awesome WoA trilogy.

Absolution was the perfect Hitman game for people who hate Hitman games.

Can't believe this was my first Hitman game. I remember getting it on Free for Gold on 360. All I did was just rush in and kill everyone, every single level. I was a dumb kid. Now I've played every game but the first one and I'm so glad I did. This game is a bad Hitman game yes but wouldn't say its a bad game overall. I also even recently played it and yeah not the best but still had a little bit of fun

Hitman 3's Berlin, Chonquin & Mendoza levels did everything Absolution tried to do, except much much better. A lone 47 hunting for targets he's picking himself & dodging the ICA whilst protecting allies. Nothing felt better than drowning an ICA operative in a club toilet with the ambient nightclub bop, before walking away to acquire the next target whilst the handler freaks out. Truly you feel like a Hitman when doing this on Mastery difficulty.

I liked the concept of 47 being vulnerable and hunted down, and how missions flow from one to another. In the other games 47 is in a godmode once you know where all the targets and items are, and finishing a level on silent assassin is pretty much a matter of patience. Here they delivered a bit of a different experience where you don't feel like everything's under control. Absolution also felt harder than Blood Money and Contracts

A bit dissapointed that you didn't remove a sin for either the Ice Cream Truck, Atomic bomb in the museum, or Metal Gear Solid "!" easter egg.

This game really was cartoonishly crazy, and that’s saying something about this franchise.

I just started playing Absolution yesterday.... Was looking for some Hitman game sins, couldn't find one until now ... You really read my mind.

What I remember about this was that worst frustration was with the difficulty. When playing on normal, every level was easier to just blast truth rather than sneak because of how much health 47 had. Then I ramped up the difficulty and yes now you have less health and fire fights are harder but sneaking was also much harder due to enemies detecting you much easier. So problem persists and at times is even worse. I see there is lot of talk about 47 being recognised even while wearing face covering disguise. It’s actually quite interesting how well you can recognise people who you know even without seeing their faces. During my conscript service we had some amounts of training while wearing face covering clothing and I could definitely recognise everyone from our ~50 person team.

I actually enjoyed playing Absolution. It felt like a darker take on the Hitman series and felt like playing a movie. You can't blame IOI for trying to change the theme of the series for one game. Maybe they felt that the concept of 'open levels' was getting stale? But I really hate the brightness of this game. It's either really dark or really bright.

This was my first Hitman game. I remember breezing through it in one day with my buddy, and I went guns blazing almost the entire game. My friend said I was “the worst hitman ever” and looking back on it, it wasn’t me that was the problem. It was this stinky game.

After playing this game the first time, I liked it, but afterwards it felt like Square Enix put way too many eggs in one basket. The laundry list of celebrities to do VO, the attempt to make a big rescue story by combining Tarantino elements and The Professional...it was all flash. Most of the characters that got all of this buzz in trailers and pre-release interviews had no real exposition or really any part in the game or story outside of getting killed. Square Enix said this game missed their sales targets despite selling 3.6 million copies in 4 months...which is absurd. And one of the biggest gaffes they almost made: IO Interactive let David Bateson, the guy who's always voiced 47, go. And then they rehired him to do this game. It was like this game was set up to fail from the beginning

If You want to like this game, forget that this game is a hitman Game.

Not the best story, but it had some great kills, and some good mechanics that the WoA trilogy would later adapt. I liked how dark and depraved Absolution was. Hitman Contracts had the Meat King's Party, and Blood Money had a Christmas-themed Playboy Bash. Trust me, the bdsm and sexy nuns aren't all that out of place

my favourite part of the whole game is "hope south dakota, your a long way from home." thats always been such a cold line to me.

This game is the equivalent of the ‘unkillable zombie glitch’ you can snap necks the entire game and still not progress at all.

Even though I love this game, there is a big sin that annoys me at points and that's Victoria's outfit. When she's kidnapped by Lenny at the orphanage, she's wearing those pyjamas though when we next see her in the Doctor's Lab, she's back in her school uniform that should've been still at the Orphanage and I doubt the Hope Idiots, I like to call them would be smart enough to pick up said clothes. Plus I can answer that sin about why The Agency employs The Saints. It's mentioned right at the beginning, after Diana purged the old Agency exposing all agents... Travis reformed the Agency focusing away of what the Agency used to be like. It seemed after 47, the Agency's scalpel; turned sides, Travis wanted a Hammer's take on the organisation. Taking violence and brutality to a whole new level where stealth is old hat and inadequate and explosions are the new course of the day.

I have been looking forward to this.

The best part in this game is when 47 jumps into a hall breaking the glass and the police are looking for him and then he gives this cold look that part gave me goosebumps!

I really liked this game. I like, that HITMAN 3 is getting back to this style.

Thanks for reminding me how ridiculous the game's plot is. Though I loved being able to use enemies as human shields, the fake surrender/disarm combo, being able to hide in vent shafts & the chipmunk disguise - FU

I believe if absolution was released after the 2016 reboot trilogy it would've made a lot more sense .

6:37 started with Hitman 2. Because 47 was so damn efficient, he became a legend. Ironic considering how thorough he is with his targets and escape. But even in Hitman Contracts it shows that 47 cant slip by everyone so easily. 6:40 see what I mean? Also, this plan was going to do fuck all because even if the building wasn’t going to burn (which was a stupid move on his part...) 47 has no prints. So he was really banking on him being unconscious long enough to what? Be arrested?

Instinct should also be a sin. It's extremely suspicious to see someone trying to cover their face.

The reason Agent 47 feels a connection to the girl is Diana's mention of the doctors. It strikes a chord with his own past and the original story of his being a clone.

So 47 offers to pay money to Birdie in exchange for information, Birdie demands 47’s guns, only for him to turn around and sell the guns to a gun store So if Birdie wanted money, there’s no reason for Birdie to take his guns I suppose it could be so that Birdie could nerf 47 for later when he betrays him, but I don’t think that Birdie planned on betraying him

My biggest issue with the game is that any action that gets you spotted results in instant magazine dumps of ammo. They NPCs say they're reloading but they're not. They are still shooting. After that it's the shear number of headshots unhelmeted police can take before the game calls it a kill. I've shot police two or THREE times in the face with an SMG or a .38 pistol. They shake it off and shoot still. The later swat guys w/ body armor can on the other hand be one shotted by a head shot to the face at least half and many times more than unhelmted cops.

Just played this game. The only thing wrong with it, is that it should have been the ending finale of the Hitman story. If you look at his face, he looks quite old and tired. I'd say that it would make sense if this story took place after Hitman 3 (yeah the latest Hitman 3), preferably several years later. 47 gets to show just why he is such a legend. Even with his own employer on his tail, he manages to slip into the shadows and disappear. This game is an amazing example as to what happens when you mess with Agent 47. He's not invincible, as you'll find out. And he does make mistakes. But he always corrects those mistakes and comes out on top anyway. The perfect ending however, would have been if he actually died this time.

This is the best Hitman game. Fight me.

Truth is - the game was rigged from the start. Just like Blood Money with the whole Leland thing. Burnwood wanted Travis out of the picture because of his Uberzoldaten research. Dexter just got himself as a collateral because of his interest in the project. This is why her "going rogue" scenario was so sloppy - she knew that the Agency will send The Man Himself, her most trusted ally.

After going back to this after playing ALL of the Hitman games...as silly as this game is it's really the best to Silent Assassin on the hard difficulty...helps if you ran thru it 1st a few times...some levels (courthouse n factory) really make you earn it...and makin Dexter's ummm lady friend trip balls makes it all worth it tbh 🤣🤣🤣

Man, this game was such a disappointment following the amazing Blood Money and I remember trying to like it so much. And disguises were such a joke that I was having more fun sneaking through the levels in just my suit. I appreciate iO trying new things here, but there's no denying the whole game was just a big step down from what came before and I'm glad they (mostly) corrected course with latest trilogy.

I actually enjoyed both this and conviction. I enjoyed the better games more, but I liked these games with the same feelings reserved for the toxic crusader or Nuke High. Also, my vote is for Downpour. Silent Hill has been conspicuously absent, this will be a step in the right direction.

I love not only the utter stupidity of the bandaid covering up the barcode, but the fact it's raining during that section so I just imagine it slipping off because of it rendering the whole "cover up" useless.. well, more so
