In RE 2 remake I think the canon story is a mix between the two scenarios: Leon gets to the police station first and meets Marvin, but then he doesn't encounter Birkin G1 but goes straight to the parking lot, later Claire finds Sherry and fights Birkin G1 that's why by the time she goes to the parking Leon has already been there so she finds the dead dogs of Leon's scenarios and the Lickers. There are also two mr x one that chases Leon/Claire in the police station and that dies in the final battle with Leon at the end, and another one in the sewers that gets killed by Birkin G3 in Claire's scenario. Also I think Claire goes past Leon and Ada when Leon gets shot, and she arrives first to the sewers and the labs but without fighting Birkin G2, that is fought later by Leon. Then Claire takes the G antidote using Sherry's pendant but doesn't fight Birkin G3. Leon arrives after her takes the G virus fights G3, Annette is wounded, but in the canon doesn't die already but actually goes taking care of Sherry and meets up with Claire. Then Annette loses counsciousness and is believed dead by Claire and Sherry before they escape. Leon meets Ada after that but with her last strenghts Annette is able to shoot her before finally die. Claire fights G4, while Leon fights the Tyrant. In the end Leon is the one who protects Claire and Sherry by going to fight G5 since Sherry says in the canon (RE 6) that Leon "saved her life back in Raccoon City". And there you go that's my theory for the RE2 remake official canon story. PS: in the original RE 2 it was confirmed that the canon story was Leon B/Claire A by the following games and Chronicles spin offs, so Mr. X was Leon's nemesis just like Birkin was for Claire. Also the note you find in Ben's cell says the Tyrant got unleashed by Umbrella to make sure no sure no survivor of the outbreak escaped the city alive.

Mr. X, or T-00, was one of six (Last I checked) T-103 model Tyrants that were deployed into Raccoon for data and combat testing. Mr. X was specifically tasked with retrieving the G-Virus sample contained in Sherry's pendant. The _other_ T-103 unit roaming the RCPD was programmed with the same mission as the other four: eliminate any and all survivors of the outbreak. This one ends up fighting Leon in his penultimate boss fight. Mr. X ends up being eliminated by G2 while pursuing Sherry.

Yeah, the A and B scenarios were really poorly handled in this game.

I thought you’d see both sides of the story. One from Leon’s side one from Claire’s but instead you kind of get the same thing from both with a couple of tweaks. I think it would be cool if they made it like the first where decisions you make in Claire’s effect Leon’s and vice versa.

Oh shit. I just realized I have an answer for the color coded chip sin at 14:44. It's basically a visitor's badge. When you get to the Nest, the host computer voice says, "Enjoy your visit". I remember finding that weird, because I too thought, "Shouldn't it welcome you as an employee?". If you were visiting, someone with higher authority would give you tours of certain areas after that. That's a cool hidden detail.

I always thought looking for an “escape” from the police station they just willingly walked into was comically stupid. At least, in RE1, they somewhat make sense of being trapped in the mansion due to the dogs stalking them out front. Also, they were chased into the mansion, but these two idiots willingly go into the police station because Leon “wants to help/it’s his first day”, and Claire “is looking for her brother.” Couldn’t either of them have called and found out the city was abandoned well before putting themselves in danger?

How dare you poke fun at a game I enjoy. Let me go through this systematically and tell you about how an obscure note I had to look up on the internet to find proves your points are all wrong.

This isn't common knowledge it's pretty deep lore. But there were actually four T-103 tyrants that were released in Raccoon City in the original continuity. One was sent to collect a G-virus sample, one was sent to kill any surviving witnesses (the one in the police station), one was sent after Sherry for "experimental reasons", and the last one was sent to kill an expeditionary squad of U.S. Special Forces at the Raccoon City power plant (it's believed this one was the one who got killed and partially eaten by Nemesis in RE3). They were there because at this point Umbrella had lost all political sway and the higher echelons of government knew what happened and what was happening. Not long after Leon survived the army actually did quarantine Raccoon City, arriving just behind him.

I have a few sins for this game considering it was before RE4 to which Ada appeared in after 6 years Sin 1 - When that truck hit the wondering zombie you can see blood splatter all over the front of the bumper and going by the speed the truck was going which looked to me like 50-60mph seeing as the road was empty of cars, the brain of that zombie would be on the windshield and from the looks of the way that wind was pressing against the zombie's hair that certainly looked like most of her body was just road kill. Sin 2 - During while truck driver was smashing on the brakes and truck stopped the corpse looked like it went more than 35ft from it but when it showed where she landed it was no further 15ft at least and there was no blood from the spots her body bounced to. Sin 3 - I don't understand why a garage has no power for lights but yet the fuel stations still provide to work? During a power cut (e.g) I have gone to get fuel for my car once when power was knocked out and couldn't collect anyway so that would mean the light power source and fuel tank sources are 1 kind, as well that garage is only a mile from the city yet it still has power within the police station and Racoon City's power supply is all connected so if the main city has power so should a mile distance garage. Sin 4 - One thing I noticed recently was that truck was going 50-60mph on the clear road and hit a zombie that managed to get back up, how come when it was coming towards Leon and Claire in the car when they were surrounded the speed looked slower but yet it was completely killing every other zombie in its way and this game is telling me that is possible? Slower speed kills and fast speeds don't? Huh. Well.....anyway I see it as a sin. Sin 5 - As you arrive at the police station Marvin Branagh is nowhere to be seen in the main hall and most doors are locked up, which also zombies are in every corridor and he didn't have a flashlight on him when he did appear. The fact he was bitten couldn't have been a recent bite or scratch either so where was he hiding in the mean time as I said most doors were locked and you don't see him anywhere when running around the main hall. Sin 6 - How did Marvin know Leon came across Elliot out of guesses seeing as Elliot said in the footage "David, Marvin" meaning that besides him only 2 other officers remained alive so either Elliot spoke about the secret passage way within the station for a while or Marvin viewed that footage of Elliot during the time Leon was helping him to escape the east hallway but yet again there was nowhere Marvin could have been during Leon's arrival so either Marvin already seen that footage before Leon did but was injured so he couldn't help Elliot out of his situation but which would mean Elliot held his own in that hallway until Leon got there but seeing as there was only 1 zombie chasing him on the footage, another 2 spawned up. But if you look closely on the footage when Elliot lost his flashlight he was already at that dead end corner shutter door. Sin 7 - In that hallway you don't see the cameras that Elliot looked at or his flashlight he dropped when you look there. Sin 8 - Even if you kill all those zombies that try to ambush you after collecting the book from Elliot, where did the zombie that grabs your leg as you crawl through the shutter door come from? and when you look at all the one's you kill in that dark hallway none of them look at all like the one that grabs you even when you look back there later on in the game. Sin 9 - Doesn't just instantly bite whatever part of human flesh they can reach? Because as that magical appearing zombie grabs Leon's leg it could have bitten him on there but for some odd reason it kept trying to reach for the arm instead. Not zombie like! Sin 10 - Where did that police uniform come from because it certainly wasn't there to be seen when you arrive. Sin 11 - Did Leon really just change clothes in front of Marvin? He must have as the changing rooms are behind locked doors at that point.....Should have waited for Ada, Leon lol Sin 12 - Marvin talks about if any of those zombie are in uniform to kill them but what bothers me is; If the outbreak occurred a week ago and Marvin is injured now by a zombie how long has it been since he was bitten or scratched? As a city the size of what Racoon city looks like it would take at least 3 days or the whole week to be infested to the outbreak consumption and Marvin would have at least been aware of what the zombies are and their actions by day 3 to 4 so he saw the outbreak happen and above all else seen an officer outside or inside the station but didn't know if they were bit as cops would probably die faster than locking the building down. Point here is that if he knows what zombies are there would be no way he was bitten or scratched 2 days before then. Sin 13 - In the dark attic, why was a zombie in the roof tiles and how did he turn into a zombie if was safe from them? Sin 14 - C4 can cause a diabolical explosion and there is a very high possibility that could ruptured most of the building, but it certainly would have been a raising dead dinner bell before that helicopter by itself even should have attracted every licker to that room but it didn't. It just caused them to patrol the hallways. Sin 15 - Ben was polite until he brought up Irons, it was his own fault he wasn't set free with a better reason and I guess he should have been more careful about his evidence. Sin 16 - With being idiot of flinging the parking lot key a few inches away I would have grabbed it and cut the rope with my knife like anyone would have, but no Leon didn't.....intelligence Leon. Its important. Sin 17 - From the time Elliot gets ripped in half all his blood would have leaked out all over that floor and he should not have been able to turn, gaming logic but its still a sin. Sin 18 - If Mr X was amongst the prisoner walls at the time you visit Ben how did walk around the station part near the helicopter crash without you hearing his footsteps before he showed up to begin chasing you? His footsteps are the similar sounds to gunshots, which are loud unless there was more than 2 Mr X Tyrants? as the one that chases you could have been what caused the helicopter to crash or something? Sin 19 - What's the point in tying Claire's arms just intend on shooting her through convinces on Sherry? Irons was a pussy for doing all that when you could have used those cuffs for Sherry at the orphanage. Sin 20 - Where did Mr X come from when you collect the key card because when you go down that cell block its a dead end and there are no holes in ceiling or walls, I'm beginning to think that Mr X is programmed to power down until recharges Sin 21 - Why can't Mr X just through every wall and door rather being a gentleman to the police station most of the time? I mean you bust walls no problem when unexpected and you would catch Leon and everyone else faster Sin 22 - That gunshop owner did not say "don't move" the first time loud enough for myself to hear it so how could he expect Leon to hear it? You left him confused when you mentioned "I said" first one wasn't clear enough! Sin 23 - Those Adult G's seem to know music!? Either they died memory remains or they heard that recently but seeing as they're in the sewers no gets played down there and how are suppose to sink into not deep water? As water reaches to Leon's waistline and as you kill them, they still are seen when lead down in the water so either they can shrink or are part of the sewage itself? Either way I see it to being a sin. Sin 24 - (Full problem of botherings) Ada is in heels dropping from heights that could really slow a person down especially if they had to run from a horde of zombies and had no guns. Sin 25 - Why are those Ivy zombies sounding like the clickers from The Last Of Us? I have to agree with you about the A and B scenarios. Despite how awesome this game is Capcom, didn't excute the differentiation between the scenarios. This is pretty the same narrative inconsistencies that the first Resident Evil suffered from.😟

Dartigan appears to suffer from the memory loss cliche he sins all the time. "What was once a pretty intense boss fight is now just running at the camera". Only running at the camera is exactly what you do with the alligator in the original. Atleast now you can actually get EATEN on the way first. Mr. X also busted through the wall in the original long before jack was even thought about but i wouldnt be suprised if he forgets that nemesis does the same thing in re3 and sins it in that remake too. Mark my words.

Man, i love Leon, he's my favorite RE character, but i gotta say, this Remake made he's part of the story kinda pointless, this Remake could've easily been a Claire solo game. In the Original each character were doing their own thing, but both Leon and Claire kept radio contact with each other and at the end both did something to move the plot foward. Like for example a major plot moment where Leon rescues Sherry while Claire is making the Anti-Virus, Leon also activates the Train so the 3 of them can escape. In RE6 Shery mentions that BOTH Leon and Claire helped her back in Raccoon City. That statement was true when looking back at the Original RE2 But what about the remake? Leon doesn't even meet Sherry until the Train ride. Claire is the one that does EVERYTHING for Sherry, hell it's Claire that activates the train this time too. And what is Leon doing? Being played around by Ada. At the end Ada didnt even get the G-Virus sample and Leon just got "lucky" getting to the train in time.

Yup. The biggest problem with the remake is they failed to adequately tell the actual story of Resident Evil 2. The original did this better. There was no intro in the beginning that explained there was a T-Virus outbreak in the mountains. And that the G-virus was a whole new type of virus, even though the T-Virus was infecting the city now.

Despite how much I love the series, damage and ballistics have always been a gripe I've had about the RE series, at least the more modern ones... Out of everything, I think the AMOUNT of rounds and damage it takes to put down the average zombie is excessive, even these new ones that won't just die by brain damage. Granted it's for the intimidation factor and to hit the old-school veterans by surprise...You put three 9mm rounds through a skull, even some light load 100-105gr, it's going to turn the majority of the head into mush and fragments from a good 30 feet+, their jaws would be utterly unusable with all of the surrounding damage. The shotgun as well does piss poor damage, even birdshot indoors from 10 feet away would take someone's head halfway off, and I'm pretty sure RCPD didn't use that. The 50AE would knock them back a good ways and their innards would be plastered all over the floor.

Sin 36, I don't think you ever played the Original. Mr X broke through the wall first in the original RE2, it only make sense that Mr X also did it in remake. Jack are the one that took the idea, ffs.

Mr X did not borrow smashing through wall from Jack as Mr X did that in original RE2 back in 1998. It is more like that Jack borrowed smashing through wall from Mr X.
