The "Limit" scene always impressed me. I haven't got too fond memories of Archie Sonic, all my memories of this series were just dubs and readings of the books done on KZfaq. But every time the "Limit" scene cropped up, it always impressed me even as a kid. Eggman won. No frills, no beating around the bush, no dirty tricks. He genuinely won. He truly built a machine that could beat Sonic. He did lose, his ego got the better of him, he could have easily made the teleporter ray that sent Sonic's friends to the Grapes fatal, but he didn't because he wanted to make a point. (Somewhat) Debunking time: Game sonic was only able to defeat Solaris with help so that’s not that impressive (I will give you the perfect chaos though) and again just like with Solaris he too had help in defeating infinite (it’s also worth noting that the phantom ruby was weakened after creating a sun) and he didn’t completely outrun the black hole in his base form he only outran it for about 30 seconds if he was faster than light he would’ve outran the black hole.

People often underestimate Sonic's power. He is on pair with many "immortal characters" like Flash. If both did a race on full power (Mobius Chair Wally and Ultra Sonic) I'm not sure who could win.

Classic has hyper sonic so game sonic has hyper sonic and hyper sonic is seven super emeralds while ultra Sonic is one super emerald. Well time to debunk some things here: I'll give you Perfect Chaos but Game Sonic wasn't living outside the space time continum after defeating Solaris. Solaris was fought in all time periods at once, past, present and future. When he was destroyed Sonic and Elise were just sent back to his origin as it was the only part of space time that remained. Doesn't make him fourth dimensional. However, making it back to his time after Elise erased Solaris might. Also, he didn't outrun a black hole, he got caught in it and was saved by the wisps. Also Infinite's abilities using the Phantom Ruby are unclear. As far as we know, it creates illusions as seen in but is also shown to have reality warping powers as shown with the Hard Boiled Heavies so we don't know if he actually created a sun or not. best feat on his own is probably beating Ultimate Emerl in 30 seconds, a gizoid using the power of all seven Chaos emeralds and super powered versions of his moves, so base Sonic literally scales to Super Sonic. Even then Archie still wins. He is consistently shown to be Knuckles' equal, who in Archie was shown to have power equivalent to a Chaos Emerald, fought Mammoth Mogul and Ixis Magnus in base while they were empowered by Chaos Emeralds, could run across multiple dimensions in a second as all zones are alternate universes in Archie, and can literally alter fate. That's just in his base form, in his super form he casually pummelled Enerjak's third reincarnation, a character who is consistently shown to be near omnipotent and can control matter at a molecular level, survived and reversed the effects of the Super Genesis Wave, a weapon which destroyed the multiverse, defeated Sigma-3 with Mega Man, who in Sigma-1 was empowered by 2 universes and stated he could transcend the 11-dimensional structure of a full multiverse along with its infinite worlds and limitations, and has insane potential with Ultra Sonic, which uses the power of a Super Emerald, which has power equivalent to the Master Emerald in Archie, unlike the games where one Super Emerald is still weaker on its own, which also has higher power than all Chaos Emeralds combined, making it far more powerful than Super Sonic. Anyways, rant over, Archie Sonic beats game Sonic at the moment and it's not close. At all.

Sonic does not magically become a higher dimensional being just by existing in a place that you say he is in. By that logic, Ben Tennyson being able to survive, breathe and speak in the existence before the universe makes the very human teenager a 4D or 5D being. And Sonic isn't even in a dimension outside of time, he's just in Solaris's dimension which clearly is made up of the Earth in both space, time and matter. And don't forget that Solaris has absolutely no feats beyond fighting the Super forms and making a dimension composed from the Earth that Solaris is confirmed to be unable to maintain.
