Fun fact: The dancers in Just Dance weren’t edited to have such pale skin, they put on hours worth of makeup every day and later on they’d edit the footage to add the glowing effect!

i was so into the just dance games as a kid. I got 2023 recently just for the nostalgia of it after not playing since 4 on the wii. the characters and story with the different levels absolutely blew me away and i'm glad to see a theory video on it.

My mother and I play this game to exercise we use the Just Sweat mode but I always thought that there was something strange behind the dancing avatars like stories to tell I’m glad Matt finally pulled through I hope he feels better soon but I still love Dan he should create his own channel and make content cause I’d love to watch ❤

A few corrections and thing that weren’t mentioned: -All of the characters from JD2023 have their name in the coach selection screen -There’s more info about JD characters and motivations in the avatar’s description in the same game -You can see The Bride and Rasputin flirting in the background of Last Friday Night (JD2022) and you can see the Traveler too

It's nice to have a lore theory which turns out that the main point of the whole journey it's to have fun playing the game and don't letting the competitive thoughts corrupts your mind to the point that your only objective becomes playing flawless and better than anyone else.

As an avid Just Dance player, yes, Just Dance has lots of lore Don't read any further if you care about spoilers for JD2024 Btw, after watching it, few corrections The names don't only come from Twitter but also when you're choosing a coach in-game And both "Jack Rose" and "Night Swan" have backstories in the songs Lose Yourself by Eminem and Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics

We need a SCP-3008 video!!! SCP is a video game of multiple versions and on different platforms. It’s about being trapped in an infinite IKEA and attempting survival inside. This feels like that gorilla perception test, where we are just so focused on the thing that we are told to focus on(the dancer and actively matching thrm) while there is something extremely noticeable, abnormal or unique (the lore in this case). I love it and I'm glad they are actually going headfirst into this with the loremaster. Honestly kinda elevates the game

9:44 Idk if someone already said this but the "nu ma nu ma nu ma iei" is more accurately translated to "you wont take me" in a way where the boyfriend is asking for his girlfriend to take her with him- the whole "Vrei sa pleci dar nu ma nu ma ei" part is basically translated into "you want to leave but you wont take me with you" Just an observation i made as a Romanian speaker! (Edited because of spelling mistakes)

I remember playing this game with my siblings on our old wii back in 2016, I always thought there might be a story but my thought was that the coaches were actually tormented souls trapped in some sort of purgatory being forced to dance for eternity

i absolutely love just dance. i used to play just dance 2 as a kid on my friend's old wii, she still has it! :,) i got just dance 2020 during quarantine to exercise, and i recently got jd2023 because i loved the song lineup. it's a really great game, and you can see how much love the devs put into it w the references to old games and the depth of the lore. its really amazing. i feel like they also really listen to their community and i'm glad the franchise is still going strong and hasn't become a cash grab. like if you look at some of the new maps, they've become so immersive and beautiful! like this really isn't a simple dancing game anymore.

My only issue with this theory, and it’s a small one, is Dan emphasizes how some songs are similar to their music videos, but doesn’t mention that Toxic turns from a flight attendant to a heist/agent theme in Britney Spears’ original video. It wasn’t just a random theme that was out of place, that leads to Just Dance lore.

One of mine is that the coaches literally have their names on their selection screens (at least in 2023 and forward - unsure about earlier than that). So no, you don’t just learn their names from twitter. They are right there in the game

In all fairness, I'm surprised that it took him this long to realize that this game had lore. Especially when it came to the Dance Battles from previous games and the Journey of Dance with Just Dance 2020 when you have the Panda see all the coaches from all the previous games all the way into Just Dance 2020 where you unlock the song "High Hopes" in the end.

This made me watch all the mentioned songs and the whole story mode. I wasn't expecting a girl to be blessed by a panda, a villain redemption arc, and so many dance styles. I also watched "We Don't Talk About Bruno" because I saw through this that it existed and I was interested in how they would have it work considering how inconsistent the amount of singers is. I wasn't surprised but I still felt cheated when it was a solo dance in which you play Mirabel as she hears everything and reacts to it.

Honestly I just like how the lore for this game isnt secretly revealing how its a dark and twisted story that turns the whole fun gameplay into secret, grimdark horror But instead a reminder that friends shouldnt focus on just winning when gaming, but also make sure they have fun

I remember watching every single song of the old just dance games as a kid and then bought just dance 2020 on switch but i've stopped since then because of the unlimited thing and the fact of buying another copy for each year to come, but it's mainly because my little brother....He's something else : that madman got MEGASTAR on EVERY.
