My theory about the other 2 failed scout-fusions we are told about: if we go with Matt's idea that it was planned from the start, I think the term 'failure' in that context didn't mean failing to make a mindless zombie - quite the opposite - I think they had tried to make a co-dependent two minded puppet man in the past (it is a vital step in the plan after all) like we end up playing, but the two previous attempts ended up being the usual feeder type hosts. We were actually a success. If you think there is a flaw in this thinking do let me know, I am obsessed with discussing this game lol

I suspect the previous puppet being removed is just a representation of the game's save system. When you want to load a saved game, you put on the same puppet you chose at the beginning of the game, however this time, you do it in the menu area, with the puppet itself having appearing here after you've started the game and made your first save.

Fun fact. The puppets are **NOT** illiterate. Actually they have their own language. Seen near the end of the game there’s a Billboard with a bunch of weird symbols on it. If you body swap to scout, you will be able to read it. Another fun fact: mortimer meant to pass the button to you. If you stay at the tea party. He says so. That’s when he challenged you to try to run. Edit: ok look I don’t want to be “that guy” but this is the fastest one of my comments has Blown up.

There's another ending where you say Scout wouldn't fit into the real world. its basically the same thing, except a different 'speech'. (EddieVR got this ending if you wanna watch it) She starts uncontrollably coughing, and says "Host, I don't wanna go" (which, kind of haunts me), basically confirming that she actually does die. Kind of sad the more you think about it :( (but I do really wanna know others thoughts on this :D)

8:52 no nonono no no, no. You put the tea bag in, then hot water so the tea bag can start brewing asap, then the sugar so it can dissolve while the tea is still hot, brew for as long as you prefer, THEN add the milk. If you don’t put the milk in last you either get sugary sludge at the bottom or sugary sludge in a weak tea.

I have an Idea. If you hav the game look, this will take a while but TRY. Play th game until you have used all puppets(if on the 3rd try there is the sam amount of puppets as the 2nd then this won't work) so just play until there are no more puppets. See what happens when you run out of puppets

@@surblechev278 I actually have some ideas about making a game that subverts the genre. I'd like to try adapting the genre's core game play tenets to play off of comedy cues instead of scare tactics. So, if you could tolerate the "sinister gimmick" existing as just a joke, I might actually have an audience. ;D

This inspired me to make a story where a boy named Keegan befriends a puppet named Kookie. The reason he did not get controlled by puppets was because his friends were nearby making sure nothing happened to him. To make it less suspicious they made the puppet use a different spell. Edit: I hope someone notices this comment.

I just had a weird idea pop into my head. The meat-locker scene. Mat says that could be evidence of the ritual for dozens to hundreds of times. But those bodies would be failures. Because if they succeeded and thus had a puppet controlling them, why are they dead and in the freezer? Either you and Scout are a rare half-success (if the host angle is correct) or you/Scout are the first slow success of a new type of experiment (if the swap angle is correct). Or maybe someone in the comments has guessed a different goal that is correct.
