He didn't say it during the video but my favorite part about the zelda game and watch is the fact that in the watch part unlike the mario one link is actually progressing through the game. So like at noon he will start the game and slowly progress and move screens and get items and beat dungeons until he beats Ganon at midnight and starts over which is really cool in my opinion!

Nice profile pic 😂 also, I have the zelda one and never noticed that he actually beats ganon, but I did notice him wandering around and fighting enemies. I absolutely love the zelda game and watch, just wish it had link to the past instead of link’s awakening. Or both, both would be nice too 😂

There is one other change made to the builds of these games. If you press and hold A on the title screen for each game, it activates a new cheat code. In SMB and LL it gives you infinite lives, in Ball it lets you play as Luigi, in Zelda 1 and LA it maxes your hearts, in Zelda 2 it maxes your stats and gives you 8 lives, and in vermin it unlocks mode C.

Hey Scott, y'all here. And you wanted answers about the Zelda game and watch. Here's the answers to your two questions. 1. The SNES game: a link to the past was not included because then they would have had to have the SNES button layout on the device, and using A and B on an SNES button layout to play NES and game boy games feels like ass. 2. They chose the original game boy version of link's awakening because they actually hadn't ever rereleased that version before. The GBC version was on 3ds virtual console, and switch went with a full remake. This way you could experience the original version of the game without buying batteries and modding your GB for backlighting.

I bought the Zelda G&W simply because Link’s Awakening is my favorite Zelda game (and one of my top 3 video games overall). I love having the original game boy version just sitting there at the ready.

Such cool little trinkets that I wish Nintendo made more of as there are so many series that would pair well with the Game and Watch. Even taking the Game and Watch Gallery games and putting them on one of these units would be an absolute treat. Also, I think this a great way to bring back some series that have been dormant for a while and get them back into people's minds. For example, doing a two player versus Game and Watch unit for Punchout with both the game and Game and Watch version would be amazing.

I don't know what gaming watch that is that he showed when he showed the original one because I thought that Mario Bros had to have two buttons on both sides so that you could move both Mario and Luigi up and down to grab the stuff. On the game boy advance you use up and down on the d-pad and then A and B on the other side.

The biggest sin of the Mario is that it never had Mario 2 and 3. I would've kept my copy in that case. Mario 1 NES and lost levels just aren't fun :( imo

They likely did Link's Awakening cause the Game Boy has the same controls as an NES controller, so they wouldn't need to add more buttons to get a different game to be playable.

I have a feeling that the reason Nintendo only put in Mario 1 is to make the game (and the unit) feel more premium and less like those 100 IN 1, AMAZING DEAL!!!!!!
