Alolan Persian should've been luxury ball imo. I'm pretty sure the pokedex says it was bred to look that way for rich people. Plus it's vibes from the anime

This kinda gives me an idea for a different video Luke could do. He and a friend each catch 18 Pokemon which are hidden. Then after all have been caught, their opponent selects which pokemon they get to use based on the balls they were caught in without any extra information. Could lead to some shenanigans catching weaker pokemon in ultra or timer balls and trying to catch legendaries in a regular pokeball, etc...

Maybe you could also say how long it took to catch the mon? Like if someone says pokeball, and 30 mins, or timer ball and 10 seconds, it would be interesting… maybe limited use of asking, or they could lie about a set amount of the times?

My favorite ball is probably the Love Ball. Cherish, Beast, Luxury, Dusk, and Premier balls are up there too. Edit - that encore play from Raichu was so mean, i love seeing moves like that used in these battles

Great idea! Pokéballs usually doesn't matter in this kind of battle videos, but now they get their place in the spotlight. I always use Luxury Balls for Legends (I mean, they are the VIPs of Pokémon so to speak) and Premier Balls for Shinies

My favorite Pokéball is the Dusk Ball. I always found it cool to have this ball that works better in the dark and it was especially fun when I played Pokémon Moon where it would be night in-game when you played during the day.

Here’s a story about picking poke balls for pokemon, on my first play through of pokemon scarlet and violet I was having trouble catching great tusk but I really wanted one, and I saw one poke ball fit the color scheme perfectly and would help me catch it… the master ball. and right after I had to catch a koridon with a dusk ball…

Ogerpon gets the Friend Ball, no matter what Mask she is holding. And Luke is not forgiven for thinking it could’ve been anything other than Ogerpon as that’s the only Pokemon in the game that changes colors
