Sorry, I don't agree. If you want to go back to the Showa era of Godzillas, sure...this is for you. Godzilla has evolved since the 50s-70s, and personally, I see these as the weakest and least-interesting Godzillas. The Heisei, Millennium, and Reiwa era of Godzillas do not have such plots. The most striking sin they are making here is that Kong can compete with Godzilla.

The sense of scale is totally gone here. I can't tell these are actually building sized apes. They move and behave like they are just regular sized apes. Bigger animals have to move smaller. Also it would have been great to add something else than rocks in the area. Like trees or something. Rocks are a horrible indicator to tell how big something is.

The gravity acceleration at that scale would be a LOT slower, like when Godzilla jumped off Gibraltar. The filmmakers probably didn't like how slow things seemed at that scale.
