@@DensilGrant I don't think they were crap, they were better in many ways, but fell short on things like what the franchise was built on, like him killing gods. We understand that he changed as a person at the end of 3, but force him to kill more gods, 1-2 In a game isn't nearly enough.

Those chains of hades are so much great. Mostly the heavy attacks more efficient than blades of chaos. Man I love those hades chains , almost didn't use blades of chaos after aquiring them

What I don't get is how the Norse God Of War games could happen after Kratos destroyed the sun and the ocean. Is the Norse pantheon in a different universe? Didn't Kratos essentially destroy the world?

He only destroyed the greek world. It was established in GoW 2018 that there are different gods and dominant forces for each region and culture, and that it was possible, by having the means and power, to visit these other parts of the world. That is how Tyr learned about Kratos and other foreign deities on other parts of the world.

For example the Shinto gods would be in control of Japan, but japan would be the only place they have power and jurisdiction. The shinto gods cannot interfere with the norse gods cannot interfere with the Egyptian gods, etc. That's why every god group knows of each other but dont interact

This makes me wish to play the new God of War games. I don’t mind character development, but it doesn’t have the same game style as the OG God of War games. Watching the gameplay seems like Days Gone or Last of Us if they were in the Norse world. It’s like Cartoons nowadays, they all have the same animation no matter which cartoon it is.

You know. I've always wondered what happened to kratos's body after he stabbed himself at the last bit, not to mention recover from that untreateable wound. Maybe cronos's blood?

The gift/curse from the Greek gods prevents Kratos from being killed by suicide. He left what was left of Greece and traveled to Midgard.
