Vivian (In the comments) pointed this out, but Arin asked Dan "Eigo ka?” which means something like, "Is that English?" or "Are you speaking English?", sounds slightly unnatural maybe? Normally you might hear "Eigo desu ka?"

Is Arin's goofy voice kinda racist or is it just me? I know when you speak another language you genuinely have to use a different 'method' of speaking entirely, a different tone and mannerism, but his seemed stereotypical and cartoony. Though I'm sure that was the point, so maybe "racist" isn't the right word and more "did that seem unrealistically cartoony to anyone else?

I'm a United States Sailor. Last Friday I graduated from boot camp, and the following Saturday arrived at my new command for further training. I've been having difficulties with the transition from civilian to military lifestyle and homesickness. Fruit is a botanical term and vegetable is a culinary term they dont contradict each other at all, fruits that are also vegetables are tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, (also pickles), think about vegetables as leafy and tough on the outside and usually not naturally sweet (since people can eventually make sweet tomatoes) and fruits as: the fleshy thing grown by a plant made to be eaten by a predator to spread the plants out often containing seeds, you'll notice one is more about its taste and the other is about how it spreads
