One of Genki's racing games focuses on Touge Racing. This is the 1st game in the Kaido Battle series, where we are playing as the upcoming racer that everyone knows in the later series as Forever Knights.

Oh yes, Genki's attempt at making a touge racing game. Like many first entries, this game is very rough around the edges, but it did lay a good foundation for gameplay, and they improved the formula in the second game. However, the graphics, music, and camera have not aged well, so I don't really recommend this to anyone.

But in terms of the storyline order of Kaido Battle, i think this game is important if you want to know the rivals/wanderers' background stories. Especially the Forever Knights, Jintei, Kaido President (he is the original Emotional King in this game).

@alexsaffamerica At least they improved it with the Kaido Battle 2 Chain Reaction & Kaido Battle【峠の伝説】. Even the 1st Kaido Battle has a flawed gameplay. The game has very important information if you want to know Kaido Battle/Shutokou Battle lore.

@tropixx_xlr1549 Agree. The sequels (Kaido Battle 2 & Kaido Battle Mountain Legends) really improve what Kaido Battle 1 lacks. But it is still an important game in the series if you want to know the rivals background.
