Well mirage was meant to be a dlc for Valhalla originally but then they decided to release a poor effort, barely meeting the minimum standards of a "full game" where the story was boring, the characters were forgettable and the parkour was choppy. I'll say it was the worst one so far out of the series but apparently some people think it was great 😵‍💫

@@grinkevychbro do some research 😭 The devs said to that team to make DLC, and the DLC was about Basim’s backstory, and they proposed to the devs that they could make a full game

@@grinkevych it was supposed to be a dlc for Valhalla, since at the end, we play as Basim in the modern setting. But it was scrapped and given to a different team in Ubisoft to do it, it's why most of the assets from Valhalla are visible in Mirage, as it was meant to be a dlc.

DLC idea (!), which then spent a couple of slow years in dev apart from main projects and which utilised many mechanics from Valhalla, because Ubisoft always does that. but it’s not like they changed their minds “the last minute”, designed some extra menus and textures and poof done. that’s simply unrealistic and doesn’t work that way. and it was the same team - the same one worked on both Valhalla and Odyssey… I know this not because I read shitty leaks from gaming media, but because my good fella worked on the last AC projects. btw, funny random fact: 95% of rumours about Ubisoft releases are being fed to those medias by Ubisoft reps themselves because it helps creating a bit of the cheap hype 🙃

Mirage is a side project created by a small studio with Ubisofts approval. I believe it was a belgian studio. They had a much much smaller budget but they really loved the first AC and they wanted to make a simillar game

Overall it's a better Assassin's creed game than the previous three RPGs-gigantic map games. Those games don't feel like Assassin's creed and are cumbersome.

@@batra204 Origins is way better than Mirage. That’s not even a debate. It has a WAY BETTER STORY, better combat, better AI for stealth, and better details. I find more enjoyment in Valhalla and Origins than in Mirage actually. Odyssey is hot garbage though

@@RiderZer0I loved the character work from start to finish. It was like a mirror image of AC2. Instead of the father and brothers dying, it was Bayek's son. His growing distance with Aya, them trying to not really process his death by just killing more and more. The only gripe I have with the story is that Ceaser and the Romans in general come into the mix too late, felt similar to facing Hoyt after killing Vaas in Far Cry 3. But the first 70-75% of the game and the DLCs are by far the last great moments from an AC game so far.

One thing that set origins as my favourite game of all time is weirdly the sounds. Bayek sounds different depending on if his costume has footwear or not. It also depends on which surface hes on and it also affects enemy detection when sneaking behind them. THAT level of detail is why its my best game ever played.

@@Vonliktenstien Odyssey you weren't even an Assassin, and they ended up making the worse of the characters the canon main character (no offense to kassandra but her dialogue is bad and delivered worse, and the dialogue that was the same as alexios was delivered better BY alexios however kassandra as a villain when she wasn't the main character did much better with her dialogue there) lets be honest the best thing about odyssey was that they put Ezio's brotherhood outfit in it

I’m pretty sure I remember hearing how Origins got an extra year for development time compared to their other games at the time. I’m sure that helped. Origins took four years, compared to Odyssey that took three

Because Origin was on a new formula, when Odyssey released, it was already well established. No wonder why Mirage hasn’t been cracked yet, people who brought the game probably will not see the true color of Ubi because they are so fanboy over "back to the roots", Ubi needs to protect Assassin's Creed's reputation until the big project AC Shadow release.

@@Aatrox_Darkin u obviously have no clue about the pirating scene lmao...3dm are the ONLY group capable of circumventing Ubisoft's denuvo anti-tamper and after ubisoft stole millions of games from players they returned with the sole vow to have every ubisoft pirate-able and playable by 2025.however cracks nolonger exist bro,denuvo is uncrackable cuz it keeps randomly changing code.thats why its taking longer for them to release the pirated versions.denuvo was not created for companies to not have their games pirated,denuvo was created so companies like ubisoft can rip ppl off without any consequences but those days are now over since 1 of the denuvodevs actively helps 3dm create bypasses because it was shown how disgusting those companies are now.

It is because even in Ubisoft there are different studios . Prior to its announcement at Ubisoft Forward on 10 September 2022, details about Mirage leaked-under the codename Rift-when it was revealed that the game started out as an expansion pack for Assassin's Creed Valhalla before being turned into a standalone release.

idk if this was a rare occurrence but in my mirage gameplay i remember walking the deserts with basim but a mirage of what seemed a man crawling on the floor in a tornado was there but as you walked up to it, it faded away and the man was the jinni

Same company, but different studios. Ubisoft’s problem is that they’re too big. Each studio is going to have their own way of making games, which is why there’s a lack of consistency. Also important to note that Mirage was the first game Ubisoft Bordeaux ever made, and hardly got any funding compared to Montreal or Quebec bc it was considered “a side project”.

From what heard and found, developers had to make Mirage (which was intended to be a Valhalla dlc at first) with the resources of valhalla. Ubisoft clearly were dumb to not give them Origins resources. Also they were a small team with few time So it's really sad and a bit ridiculous

In origin, if you'll stand long enough in desert, like 3-5 mins, you'll see many different kinds of mirage, like ghost, or locust, or oyasis, or just a guy in white clothes walking in desert and vanishes within seconds But you can't see any origin in mirage (pun intended)

Because of the different game developer: In Origin is Ubisoft Montreal, In Mirage is Ubisoft Bordeaux. Even though Mirage is made with newest version if the game engine - Ubisoft Anvil, compared to the older version for Origins - AnvilNext 2.0.

Played this a while ago, but this came up to me again. I’ll say this is one of the prettiest games, maybe ever, I’ll put my money on it because there may be games with better graphics that I’ve played, although admittedly I haven’t played loads of games, however the art, theme, and the scale of everything in origins gives me a sense of awe that’s unbelievable for a 2d screen.

@@mrlol6484 you see, there are two eras of ac games: the OGs and Modern Origins is the first modern ac but its about the beginning of creed. Previous ACs was like: SNEAK. KILL. GET AWAY. Anyways, its always something different and you need to fight more like in RPG, and it has cool DLCs.

Odyssey was better. Everything good about Origins was more refined in Odyssey. Plus, Origins was a bait and switch for Aya. Aya avenged their son, not Bayek. Aya assassinated Caesar. Aya assassinated Cleopatra. Bayek ended up a passenger in his own story by the time the game ended

@TheGeechman Say what you will. Odyssey sold better and has more current users in 2024. Origins averaged a 9.0/10 score. Odyssey averaged a 9.1/10. Origins Story started off with Bayek, and ended with Aya. Odyssey started with Kassandra/Alexios and ended with Kassandra/Alexios. You're objectively wrong but all in all it really doesn't matter. They were both phenomenal games, I just found the story of Origins to really, really let me down when I realised Bayek doesn't matter. He's literally a pointless character made to support Aya

So why shouldn’t Aya be the one to finish it? Their story together is the “Origins” of the brotherhood. In Origins, you can lit outdoor and indoor torches using your handheld torch if you stand near them, the features is removed in Odyssey onwards, i think.

Theres a lot of different Ubisoft studios working on different AC games with staggered release scheduling. Ubisoft Montreal made Origins and Valhalla for example while Ubisoft Quebec made Odyssey and Ubisoft Bordeaux made Mirage.

Because they actually cared about the lore, characters and story for Origins, also, they let go the game director which led the team on Origins. Also, it’s just a cash grab for Ubisoft. Origins has a story thread in which I was totally invested in, because every single one of them actually connected to the rest of the story, even if it was just a minor side quest which connected eventually to the larger story.

Well, because they're made by different studios. One was Ubisoft Montreal (Origins), the other by Ubisoft Bordeaux. Two different teams of developers with different ideas. Also, Mirage started as DLC for Valhalla, but didn't have the time to turn into a full-fledged game.

Must be something new or very speicific. I was really impressed with 0 issues in Origins. I did fall under textures in Odyssey and had other minor issues, but none in Origins.
