For over 10 years I had a 8 Mbps download and 0.86 Mbps upload and that held me back for a very long time when it came to streaming and gaming. I've had 1 Gigabit symmetrical speeds for about a year now and it has made a world of difference and I wouldn't ever want to go back to DSL. Fiber for the win!!

@@UMG-Melons im my area Frontier is promoting the crap out of fiber and the most popular is 1 gig speed up and down with supposedly the lowest latency out of any internet provider.

I really don’t get why people think you need 1000mbps internet speed to play games. You’ll be just fine with 300 and won’t even notice a difference between that and 1000. Consoles can only support so much

When I play offline my games feel nice and reactive how they are suppose to feel but asoon as I sign online the games feel almost sluggish I want to say like not butter smooth but my isp says everything fine on their end I do use copper line I have a bad feeling even if I change to fibre it will be the exact same issue cause I’m getting50down/ 10up it should work fast and reactive but it makes competitive gaming completely thrown out the window

@@solhaze8781 That was back when I was living at home with my parents for a few months after I graduated school, I have no idea what they used but I know they had an old plan that isn’t offered anymore, that’s why it was 30 mb/s. I live on my own now and use Spectrum’s basic plan which is 100mb/s.
