I saw the title and I immediately thought "Okay, everyone is going to explode, right?"

I’m impressed with the game design, it seems very normal for experienced players to just run in grab the loot and leave but I’m impressed how many new players are able to find the secret room because of the design on the floor making them want to dig there then also falling into the tnt trap.

I didn’t expect these clips to be so recent, the floor pattern isn’t made of wool. Cool that people are still experiencing these structures for the first time

Props for the dev team designing the center of the pyramid interesting enough that players actually dig down

It's just an amazing psychological phenomenon that everyone falls for such an obvious trap first time they encounter it, and proceed to literally never fall for it ever again no matter how many desert temples they find

When I first saw a desert temple, first thing I did was break the violet block and immediately fall. Halfway through, I kinda regretted it.

Probably the worst experience I’ve had with a desert temple(worse than the first time I blew up) was when I mined down and a zombie fell down with me and set off the tnt without me even stepping on it

Yknow its a good thing they changed it from wooden pressure plate to stone a few years back. This makes the players more likely to die instead

I fell into the exact trap when I played Mc for the first time...i didn't know the golden rule of 'Never mine right under you' so i fell, was relieved that i survived the fall, then i heard the "Chhhhhhhhh" *BAM* 😔😔 never found my stuff afterwards bc I'm terrible at directions so i couldn't find the temple again😓

Haha! So fun to watch others experience this building. I wish there were more of these kind of structures. The first time for me was unforgettable. Especially because my 6 year old son tried to tell me and warn me about the pressure plate and thankfully I listened to him, a bit too late though 😂 It was awesome to experience it and especially playing the game with my son. Can be so much fun and it surprises me how much he can tell me about this game. Wonderful ❤️

Always break the pressure plate first. Breaking it will not set off the trap. It takes a mob or the player character's body to trigger the plate.

I remember my first time finding one, I was a dumb kid at the time and I didn't even know any structures existed in Minecraft, a desert temple was the first one I'd ever seen and in my head I made up some theory that either a player or herobrine had snuck into my world and made it. Yes I knew about herobrine (from friends at school) before I knew about any structures. Long story short I broke the blue clay while standing on it and fell onto the tnt, died, then thought that the trap had been set by one of the above mentioned enemies and spent the next two hours rebuilding the temple and setting up traps to defend it from anyone.

I hope they create more overworld structures like this with traps or puzzle and create a lore

The first time I found one I guessed that there was a room below, which I was impressed I guessed. Then I jumped down and heard the TNT sound, wasnt so thrilled afterwards.

This afternoon i played minecraft with my veteran minecraft player friends watching. I found a desert temple, that is first time. Although it's first time i watch plenty youtube videos about minecraft that i know everything about the temple (or so i thought). I did ask them if there is a trap or smh and they say no. So i just dig to find my way down and when i arrived, i open the chest and found a golden apple, and i got blown up, just like the rest of the first timer, and all of my stuff are gone. They really laugh at me for that, but i understand because i know i'm still a newbie so i just kind of laugh along of how i did not see it coming. One of the best experience of playibg minecraft ngl

after version 1.5.2 and the jungle, where a stupid trap with threads killed me, I was taught that minecraft just doesn't make gifts, so when I found the treasury, I didn't fall for dynamite, I was killed by zombies who jumped down after me and pressed this very plate. by the way, in the old versions like 1.5.2 in the center of the pyramid, the orange and blue blocks were made of wool and not of concrete as in the new versions. in fact, it amazes me that I could build in such simple versions as 1.5.2 and get high from it.

I think I have NEVER died to dessert temple... I am a veteran and play since like 2010 and I even remember when the update came and it announced dessert temples... I Was never stupid enough to step on and die that way. I have had where I went down and a mob fell down and triggered it but was always on time with pillaring up or escaping... It also blows my mind when people just trigger it and stand there like huh huh whats going on XD

I wish I could Forget Everything Ik about Minecraft and Re- explore it for the first time, and I would love to find out everything for myself. no game has ever made me feel the way Minecraft did while playing it for the first time, and knowing so little about it, back in Beta the first ime I seen a Enderman, just indescribable. I rememeber my first house Where I just walled off a small beach one flat wall and then walls the shape of the coast/cliff. Out chopping wood in the forrest surrounding my house when I seen it , and then it tele to me and I run in to my house and died, i think falling off my weird ladders running away lol

As someone whi grew up with thw Xbox 360 version of Minecraft and knows these things for almost 10 years, I am kinda surprised how many people have no clue about these things lol. I guess those are very new players then.

I remember seeing the temple for the first time with no context. I thought the fall would kill me so I dug down but I wondered why there was a stone square and broke it. I ended up leaving the TNT behind, not realizing it was there and could have used it.
