Dear Steve, it is nice to see these experiments, but I ask myself...why overclocking when overclocking is at end of life?!..wouldnt it be better to make some tests and experiments, to prove that in the future overclocking CPUs will be counter productive?!

What's the liquid metal you're always talking about? Is it real metal paste or similar to Arctic Silver? Or something like mercury? Once you use it is it permanent or can you clean and re-apply like any other paste? I think i remember you saying it can knock off up to 20c.

there's not a single pro player that doesn't use a mouse pad, and for good reason: consistent glide, doesn't scratch mouse feet, no chance for sensors mucking up, and a way to adjust the glide of the mouse.

For me its was the other way around. I was forced to ditch mine because apparently corsair don't make a mouse that works on any pad and only seems to work on a wooden table and nothing else. Oh, don't buy a corsair gaming mouse, they can't even match a 15 year old A4tech gaming mouse in quality or performance and A4tech basically don't exist anymore, go figure!

J2C did a compare with a 20 dollar CPU block and a 250 micro razor max suffice area thin channel CPU block and they were with in 1 deg difference that block will be fine

Ice cubes in res would fuck up the pump or block the CPU waterblock channels. Needs to dump the radiator in a ice bucket instead and monitor the water temp so it does not go under 18-20 degrees.

I'm late 4 years but just use anti-freeze then and no ice then. or if you just don't like the anti -freeze then 190 proof Everclear alcohol. pure ethanol freezes at -173f. so even with the 5% water it would still take some serious cold temps to freeze it.

@@bobthompson4319 I do not know if I have misunderstood what you a trying to explain, but here is my thoughts. Anti freeze is not needed in the water loop if the radiator is dumped in ice water, the loop water does not freeze because it will never be colder then the ice bucket, unless the radiator is dumped in a freezer. The reason I mentioned above 18-20 degrees water temp is because of condensation. If the loop water is 5 degrees in a 20 degree room, water will form on the outside of the hoses and cooling blocks. High concentrations of alcohol in the loop is generally not a good idea, it may damage the hoses and alcohol has a worse heat transfer capability then water.

1:22:30 Or your could just Win+R "shutdown -s -t 1" fyi -s = shutdown -l = logout -r = reboot if you add -c you can add a comment! Example would be if you scheduled a shutdown in the future by changing the -t 1 to say -t 86400 (shutdown/reboot/logout in 1 day), as well as adding -c "This reboot is for updates", and wanted to notify the user that it was for updates or whatever.

On top of that the command will be "sticky" meaning if you run it and for example you ran "shutdown -r -t 1" (works with all variations) when the computer reboots if you press Win+R the command will automatically be there again, and will allow auto fill in the case you run another command via Win+R if you start typing the command after running it the first time.

i have speakers at med, system at full, youtube at mid. checked another video to test the sound and it had. wierd. no problem tho i can try see it later want to see the results :D edit: it happened to have my system set to 5.1 audio. changing it to stereo fixed the problem :)

Audio problems with the Intel NUC8I7HVK Mini PC (Hades Canyon)? - Try this Fix! The Latest Realtek audio drivers are seriously broken with intel on this unit, install older version driver 6.0.1.8323 and not 6.0.1.8454 . This will fix the KZfaq audio renderer error that crashes video every 10+ seconds as well as other video playback crashes. This Driver breaks the Hades Canyon audio in KZfaq and basically all other audio functionality. The fix is to install version 6.0.1.8323 . They actually did make one years ago, but only for a certain market like Asia IIRC. Luke from Linus tech tips got a hold of one on eBay with some Gundam game and they made a vid on it. It was pretty disappointing really, seemed like they had big plans for it, including an online service, but for whatever reason it never really materialized.

Hey gamer nexus, can you make it abundantly clear to people who don't review tech, THAT EVGA 1070 IS NOT THE SAME AS MSI 1070, OR A ZOTAC 1070 OR A GIGABYTE 1070! only cards which are the same are founders editions... There is some CRAZY misconception going around that ALL CARDS ARE THE SAME PRODUCED THE SAME. AND ITS WRONG, AND IT'S VERY INACCURATE INFORMATION! How is a customized card by said company the same? when power delivery is different vrms are different, uhhhh layout of each card is different... That's like saying honda civics and toyota corollas are the same cause they get the same gas millage! Please put it in your next ask GN! Ran Dom I'm thankful to have not come across such a misinformed group of people. I'd be quite frustrated myself, I imagine. I cant help but wonder if they think the same for mobos. WRT to the memory bit, I have a zotac 1070 amp and recall reading reports that some shipped with micron (or maybe hynix) memory that supposedly didn't OC anywhere near as well as the ones with Samsung. There may have been more to it, or it was just the usual internet insanity, but after finding mine had samsung I didn't look into it any further.

From what I understand, the differences between various 1070 (or any card for that matter) models, when compared across with each other, is marginal at best. We're talking a few FPS here or there and the major difference being in the physical coolers. Yes, the PCB is different and may cause slight differences, but real-world they are *close enough* as to be essentially identical to the "average" enthusiast.

it makes them different. either you'd agree or not, it does. And it's why toyota doesn't put honda engines in there cars and vice versa, cause it'd be illegal to copy another company. Only cards which are the EXACT same are founder editions. A misconception is a misconception. Doesn't matter how "small" you deem it. It makes people unintelligible
