You should totally try out horror games in VR. I rarely get scared playing flat screen horrors, but VR takes it to the next level. Actually being in those haunted houses and being chased by monsters really gets me. Kim would probably get PTSD or smth. though. :P

I agree with Kim, some of the worst games are not the bad games, they are the boring games. Like with movies, really bad games can be so bad they are good. A boring game just has nothing that redeems it.

This video brightened a grey morning for me! 😄 I wasn't really into horror either - but Until Dawn changed that. PoodlePa and I are gripped by it. I think that's the first Western horror game I really like. Japanese horror games are very different; they don't go so much for jump scares and more for atmosphere. I'm playing Death Mark atm and the sequel Spirit Hunter NG is supposed to be even better.

Kim and Johnny Shenanigans are always the best shenanigans. I wish nothing but a speedy recovery for kim, and I hope she is back on her feet in no time. The fact that kim hates jump scares, means everybody is going to perform jump scares on her. I really want to play Until Dawn for myself because I do love the slasher sub-genre of horror.

It sounds like Kim isn't very fond of sports games. You should introduce her to League Bowling on the Neo•Geo. It's not only my favorite sports game, but also a top 10 Neo game for me. Back in 1990 I used to often have friends over and we'd play 4 player League Bowling for hours on end! I nearly even bought a 2nd Neo•Geo AES and another copy LB just so we could play 4 player simultaneous linked play on 2 monitors. I figured that was going too far and didn't do that. :P We also had a lot of fun when M2 released it for Neo•Geo Station on the PS3. My old friends who have moved out of state and I were playing that again like it was 1990-91 all over again.

Lol I sat through Layers of Fear in 1 sitting and was like meh but my missus was jumping at the jump scares the whole game. The absolute fear in Kim's reactions is excessively hilarious though.

The first Ken Griffey Jr. was OUTSTANDING on the SNES. It was so good I don't know why they even made another one. It was pretty much the perfection of that style of baseball game.
