I think it DID get on the algorithm actually! There's over 200 views in only a day. When compared with that last video, this is way larger growth. This is the first time I've ever been algorithm'd so like, dang wow this is cool lol. And I'm so glad you enjoyed it! You mentioned Gris and now I have to react because I love that game so much 😁 I had the same problem with losing interest in games until I started playing some shorter ones and revisiting the ones that had really great story or gameplay (currently replaying Beyond Good and Evil). Feel free to ignore these recommendations, or even the entire comment. If you like Gris and Journey, you might also like other games that lean more into environmental storytelling while not applying much pressure. I'd recommend Flower, Gorogoa and A Memoir Blue if you haven't played those. Flower is from the same developer as Journey (thatgamecompany), the other two are from the same publisher as Gris (Annapurna Interactive). Of course there are those that tell the story a bit more outright but are definitely worth playing. Among those I recommend A Short Hike, To the Moon (and its sequel Finding Paradise), Firewatch and What Remains of Edith Finch. You might also give Eastshade a try if looking for the more meditative approach of the games in this video. And then there's Outer Wilds, that incredible game is in a league of its own, but it does put a bit more pressure on the player.

Yeah I've played Broken Reality, I liked it so much I ended up extracting the whole soundtrack by hand lol. It's on the channel if you're interested. Islands: Non Places is good too. I've not heard of the other 2 though, I'll have to give those a look.

I do plan on covering more games, but I don't want to repeat themes if I can help it. Or at least not put out 2 videos in a row of the same theme. I'm not actually sure what the next one will be, but I wanna keep things varied in the long-term.

I haven't actually played Forager, but it does seem similar. That's kinda neat.

Well yeah that's the sort of notion Proteus follows, but it makes for a really unique experience as a result I think. The other 2 games have plenty to do though. Endo's got puzzles, and Outpath has all the gathering, crafting, and building stuff. So maybe those would be more the sorta thing you're looking for? If you want a recommendation for something that is similar to Myst though, I'd definitely recommend checking out Quern: Undying Thoughts. I honestly think I might like it more than Myst even lol. It's really good.

Hmm... I'm more specifically referring to that percussive type of relaxing sound. Like the thud of a shishi-odoshi, or the ticking or a clock. ASMR can be a bunch of different kinds of sounds, and generally refers to the tingly sensation some people get from them. It could be ASMR for some people, but it doesn't quite fit the sort of thing I was thinking of.

Making a video over 10 minutes doesn't do any harm, it just allows for mid-roll ads, and I never place ads on my videos. (If there are ads, then they're placed by copyright holders who have claimed the video.) This one just naturally ended up being over 10 minutes. But yeah essentially a video being over 10 minutes long doesn't do anything.
