Thanks for the tutorial! Got it working on my first try. I am having a problem with poor resolution though. Idk what it’s called but in the shadows it looks all boxy and pixelated and around my ammo count in cyberpunk and in the menu, I get like ghosting or duplicates of the small writing when streaming from my series x. My internet is great and I’ve ran all the tests. It’s not a latency, jitter, or bufferbloat problem. No frame rate problems or stutter or audio popping. Any advice or tips? I really don’t want to have to buy cyberpunk and Elden ring again lol and was excited to be able to play at 60fps instead of a capped 30

It could be your fixed resolution in the apps settings on the steam deck they playing in docked mode with a different resolution and see if that changes it. Sometimes downscaling resolution can create artifacts because you can’t so all the details from 1080p/4K on a 720p screen it basically deletes the lines between to create a smaller image.

Thank you so much. So glad to have this option. Handheld Xbox!! Was able to get everything working but also seems the initial window that opens logs into xbox cloud gaming. I have to manually minimize the window via touchscreen . Anyone else having this cloud gaming window and any other solutions that doesn't mess up the cloud gaming option as well. :)

They have just recently updated to version 2.0 Beta and renamed the application Greenlight. This is a BIG update, and a must have for anyone who has experiences Audio Issues like myself. The Auto connect (i.e. ==connect=123455..) doesn't seem to work, but no biggie.

@@widgerd Hi Doc. When i did it, I removed the App from Steam and re-added it following the steps form 4mins 30 into the video. Dont forget you need to add the App after searching for it in Dolphin, rather than just pointing the existing shortcut to the new Greenlight file that you downloaded. That def wont work. Also, I have tried all the Proton Versions, and not been able to get any to work. So just stick with the standard (no box ticked)

My xCloud works great on Edge Beta and controller works without any problems. There is one line you have to put while setting it up. It's even on MS official guide.

Hi Hugo, you dont need to remap any buttons for that as at the top of the screen next to disconnect it says nexus, if you press that it acts as your xbox button

You rock man. Used your videos for xcloud and PlayStation remote play. Having issues with this one though and seems to be just me looking at the comments. When I put the command in konsole, it says unknown something. Didn’t get beyond that step. Edit - think I know what I did wrong. I didn’t rename the app image installer thingy before entering the command. Will try again tomorrow. This is all first time Linux experience lol

I figured it out all the letters have to match including caps on both so copy paste from this video didn't work until I deleted the lower case at the start of the letters and put in the capitals then boom worked like a charm.

Great video. My SD is stuck on loading unless my XSX is powered on, it won't load in standby mode, did check all the boxes in the guide. What could be wrong? It's like it's unable to send a wake package like it's done with PS5 and chiaki?!

Hey. Thanks for the great tutorial. I followed to the letter and once I'm in steam and try to launch it. It doesn't load if I push stop, it just stays stuck. If launch it in desktop mode it makes me sign in and the screen is just black. Not sure if I'm doing anything wrong...

@@chocho2188 I’ve been fucking with it for hours and I give up. I get it to open terminal and I type in the code correctly and I keep getting error saying no such file exists. It took me all damn night to get game pass workings and not even the shortcut way and I finally got mods to work for fallout new vegas. But I hate this stuff, I’m a counsel gamer and I just want to stream my red dead reds 2 game from my series x to my steam deck and I can’t fucking do it. I am old and terrible at oc crap. I thought I could play battlefield on here and mods. Would be installed already. I love the steam deck but I’m having a terrible experience trying to do simple stuff. I wish Xbox would just put a app on here to make it easy and I wish I could get my battlefield 2042 on her, it sucks

I'm having a consistent issue and I'm curious if I'm the only one. When I launch the remote play "game tile" everything executes properly and signs me in (quite slowly I might add) but I am then shown a black screen. The only way I have found to not reach this black screen is to have the TV connected to my xbox series x powered on. Almost like the video from the xbox is only activated for remote play if it is actively displaying on the TV. That is not normally the case on the standard remote play from the xbox app on something like an iphone.

Xbox remote play on the steamdeck has a lot of issues for me. I feel consistent audio popping and low fps, meaning when turning the camera in games it feels stuttery. This is even when compared to XCloud. If anyone has a fix that would be appreciated.

@@johnathanclegg7355 it ended up working for me after I erased and re-download and started again. When in the download folder, make sure to right click on an empty area and open in terminal then the command should work. Also when you add the xbox app to steam, make sure you do it exactly as he does, start, All Applications then xbox then right click on it and add to steam. I was just adding without doing it through all Applications and it would just be loading forever or crash. This whole process drove me crazy lol. I'm not used to linux so its important to not miss any steps apparently

Chiaki is even worse. The process to get hour I'd doesn't work anymore so I had to do some crazy work around developer options in my browser and run some script that someone made to just to get the process to work. Insane

@@JRAM7 turn off wifi power management in the Deck's settings. You may need developer mode turned on to see the setting. This setting being on throttles 5ghz connections

When launching in game mode I get "Error in Promise status 503 body" Not sure what the heck happened Edit: I think I see what I did Fixed. Had the launch options --fullscreen-- --connect. Oops. I'm using the 2.0 version of xcloud. It doesn't launch right into my xbox menu. It goes to a screen that says My consoles, xcloud library, settings. No buttons work to hit start stream to connect to my Xbox. I had to use my mouse to click it. Even the mouse pad on my steam deck doesn't work. Thankfully I remember it's a touch screen lol. So I can tap start stream. After that I am connected to my xbox and all my buttons work just fine. Wish there was a way to by pass that. I do have the --connect= line with my xbox ID

Flakey at best. Keeps on getting stuck trying to load white authentication screen. also doesn't allow logging in if you're not from a supported xcloud country even though its just remote desktop. on verson 2.0 beta

For anyone curious, ensure "remote play" is enabled in Xbox settings. I had to do this on a Xbox One.

Is this not meant to Remote play away from the home? I tried 2.0 and version 1.2 you are using. Both have the same issue. I can connect and remote play my xbox no problem if I'm connected to my home router. If I connect to my phones Hotspot neither version will actually connect to my Xbox. My Xbox NAT is Open. And I can remote play away from home using my phone or tablet. But the Steam Deck is a no go. So I'm wondering if these app images are missing something essential? Not really sure what else to do on my end. It's not my cell speed. 100mbps down and 10mbps up. And I can Hotspot my tablet to my phone for remote play away from the home. I'm at a loss on how to get the SD to connect through anything other than the home network

@@dennismuller7087 ohhh yeah. Back in the day I couldn't remote play on my tablet away from home. For some odd reason I tried my VPN and it worked. I googled why but I can't remember the reason. Tried your suggestion. On v1.2 same issue. It acts like it connected and my screen goes black. If I tap on the SD on the top it shows My consoles, active stream, Disconnect, nexus.. After 2 seconds everything on top disappears and back at a black screen. On v2.0 I just get a constant green spinning circle but it never connects.
