My favorite ending skits are the ones that involve either a $20 bill or Dave and middle fingers LMFAO. While Joe is right about the situation, I'm still not sure how I feel about the skit 🤔. I chuckled but still thought it was a little crass? Maybe it's just too early in the day. I'm usually watching much more offensive stuff anyway 😂.

I'm sure that the reason why we almost never see homebrew Saturn stuff is that it's such a pain in the ass to develop for. I've read that most games released for it back in the day didn't even utilize it's 2nd CPU, because it was so incredibly difficult to do. Apparently both CPU's couldn't be used at the same time without very precise timing or something, but I know little about tech and nothing about programming.

@UltimateGamerCC
@UltimateGamerCC 3 жыл бұрын
@@Aoi2012 oof, that question i was NOT prepared for lol... hmmm, i mean it is kinda hard to answer that, it depends on what you're looking for and what games you REALLY want to play hacks of. i know that can sound vague as all hell, but a lot of that REALLY does come down to personal preferences, for example i dont mind a hack being a little harder than the original game, but Hardtype/Kaizo hacks are NOT my thing. so if you can kinda narrow down what you would like to play, i can definitely assist, but that is a question that only you yourself can truly answer.
@UltimateGamerCC
@UltimateGamerCC 3 жыл бұрын
@@Aoi2012 now as for my OWN preferences i'm all about level hacks and those that go beyond just being a level hack, some of my favorites are Super Mario RPG Armageddon, Final Fantasy Ultima, Super Mario World - Master Hand's Doomsday, Streets of Rage 2 - Sketch Turner, Shining Tactics (hack of Shining Force 2) and others that just arent coming to mind atm.

Wow, that Sonic homebrew was impressive! Can't believe you didn't mention the ultra smooth animation of Sonic! That was the very first thing I noticed, all of his animations are FAR smoother with WAY more frames! Like seriously, this is Sonic Mania levels of smoothness here! In fact I bet that's where they got the animations from. Amazing that the Genesis can handle it. Very impressive stuff! I wish someone could make a hack of all of the original games to have that sort of animation in them!

Clock tower Deluxe came out a few months ago. In addition to adding stuff from the ps1 version, it adds snes mouse support, the ability to run up and down stairs(Like clock tower 2) faster stamina regeneration, and a bunch of bug fixes. Its the best way to play clock tower, but it requires multiple patches(The english patch and the patch for this hack.) The other one is materialbound redux. This is mostly a bugfix/uncensoring patch for earthbound. It fixes grammar, fixes localization errors, uncensored things from the earthbound. The best part is the optional msu-1 soundtrack. It is what would happen if earthbound came out on a 32-bit console. The rom has been expanded as well as it requires a 4mb rom. There is also quality of life improvements like Unique overworld enemy sprites, A new control scheme that allows you to quickly do commands, photosensitive reduction for things that needed it, and apparently its fully hardware compatable(Not so sure about the msu-1 audio though.)

That'd be a nice idea. Maybe even just make the gameplay more like it, like have a whip as a weapon. Then it'd be sorta like a "lost" castlevania game. Cos it's very well designed and fun to play anyway, so making it into literally a castlevania game makes a lot of sense. You could even call it the "real" Castlevania 2 (for those who hated the metronidvania layout and gameplay in castlevania 2 Simon's quest).

Another incredible video as always, Joe! And that line about there being more Sonic hacks than sand definitely got a laugh out of me.

How am I not already subscribed to you when I see you use stop motion? Anyway the Indie aesthetic and spirit of these games and people behind them is a beautiful thing

The Super Mario Land game is the best looking use of pre rendered graphics on the system I have seen. Doesn't look clashing or suffering from too few colors. Good palette distribution.
