I put many many dollars into the TMNT arcade game back in 1990. Such a great game to play with three others. Good times

for me this was a watershed moment in arcade games. TMNT was SUPER POPULAR when this cabinet hit arcades, every kid wanted to play it. This was the arcade that truly transitioned from classic score-chasing arcades (Ms Pac Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga etc) to quarter munching beat em ups (TMNT, Final Fight, Simpsons, Punisher). THe beat em ups would be killed off by Tournament Fighters (Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter 2, Tekken) and then eventually lame rail shooters and racers.

Where can I learn more about the "ranking system" in this game? I've been playing this game for decades and first I ever heard of that. Sounds interesting.
