This game, speed-run, is to me the epitome of speedrunning culture. It's just entertaining, easy to follow, quick to 'reset'. Thanks for keeping this in the lineup!

Agreed. I presonally find the actual game to be a bit dull, but it's really hard to deny that this is one of the best examples of a great speedrun.

It's also such a hard game that the speedruns aren't even close to being perfect. The 106% world record has over 80 deaths, each one costing on average 5 seconds, which is roughly 6~7 minutes of time lost from deaths alone, and that's not even mentioning all the small time losses from completing a level slightly incorrectly. This really is one of the best speedruns to watch.

Super Meat Boy is one of the more beautiful speedruns in my opinion, Unlike most runs the game is still being played like you're supposed to. The player is just incredibly skilled.

the glitch levels don't really count but he might be referring to 100% as 106. Getting all bandages/dark world lvs completed is more important

It's funny, I ended up doing a lot of these Rapture Skips in my casual run because I got frustrated with the levels proper and ended up just trying to find a way to cheese them out.

The developers keep saying the keyboard controls are awful, but I couldn't disagree more. I find them much tighter and more responsive than a gamepad. I played through the whole game using the keyboard and I do not regret it.

yeah, its a lot easier to press left-right arrows then have to bring the joystick across the whole way. I've never understood people who say controllers are easier

On 3-14 after getting the key you can wall jump off the left hand side of the small block, bounce off the right hand side of the vertically moving platform and sail straight over to the other side. Probably knew that already but it would save a second or two.
