U can see the battery left on it by instaling Gamesir app but u should change the mode to bluetooth (not xbox controller) by hitting power+X button

Having looked into this for some time now, GameSir seems to be best (relatively affordable) option. I’m ordering one now for my iPhone. Up until now I’ve been playing a number of games on my phone with touchscreen controls like WWE 2K22, Star Wars Squadrons, Dirt 5 and loving it (I even posted a few vids) but it’s time to give a good controller a go.

I absolutely love this controller,I found out about it through KZfaq it was either this or the razor keyshi and this fit me more and I love the plug in one that feels like the Joy Con anyway it works well with emulators and games that utilize it and every button feels good even the dpad

Better than Razer kishi actually feels like a controller and not cheap plastic.

I think the XBOX controller uses more battery due it having vibration motors so it evens out I guess?

Regular controller with phoneholder clip will wear down on your wrists very quickly. This is a way better experience. I have a cheap ipega that can hold my phone in between, but I ordered this gamesir with bluetooth because the thumbsticks on the ipega have too much dead zones.

i use x2 bluetoorth on iphone 13pro max, everything work fine but when i use it on steam link just a few minute the controller stop working, i have try reinstall steam link, it didnt help. I wonder if anyone here had this issue also?

If you mentioned this and I missed it I apologize, but would this work with a phone in a case, at least a fairly thin case? I personally have a Backbone and I’m fairly impressed with it but having to take my phone out of the case all the time is annoying. I’ve resorted to leaving my old XS Max in the Backbone full time instead of using my main phone. The only other knock on the Backbone in my opinion is the $50 a year subscription for their software suite. I know it works without Backbone+ but one of the big things people point to that puts it over the top and that makes the $100 price tag more acceptable is the software, while not mentioning that you’ll pay 1/2 what you paid for the controller every year to access it. Had I known that beforehand I’d probably have a Kishi because of the sale prices right now.

Only thing is with Kishi is it doesn't fit Galaxy Ultra 22

I know you said the thumbsticks were good but how are the deadzones. I also have the kishi and consider it unusable because the sticks have basically zero movement on the inner side of the stick.

This device was great but I had to return it. During game play, the menu button kept activating. The turbo button would randomly turn on for random buttons. Compared to my nimbus controller, I didn’t seem to have that problem. After resetting, unpairing and repairing, still had those problems. Wondering if anyone else ran into that defect during game play.

How did you get cod mobile to work on it? My c type does not work with cod mobile at all

Its a nice controller and all but mine has iffy buttons after just 1 month of use. some buttons dont work after a month of use. im not saying its gonna be like thag everytime but it can happen. be careful guys and happy gaming

I had the razor kishi but it broke 2 days ago like the left side wasn't working when I connected it to my iPhone the left side wasn't working I did everything nothing still and the problem was the belt/strap broke like the insides that's why it wasn't working so I got this controller the lighting version can't wait and I'm sick rn

I use this Bluetooth model with my iPhone 13 Pro Max and it generally works great. I chose Bluetooth over the lightning plug version mainly because of the ongoing rumors surrounding Apple eventually going portless on future iPhones. Secondly, I didn’t want to remove the case on my phone every time I use a controller. That being said, I have been generally satisfied with the controller for COD Mobile. It was pretty uncomfortable to use for the first 4-5 days with nowhere to wrap the pinky finger around to actually hold the controller. You do get used to it and it becomes not a big deal. There are times where the left thumb stick doesn’t register being pressed to sprint in COD mobile. It’s a little frustrating because at times it takes 4-5 presses before it registers. I have noticed that I get random glitches in COD Mobile if my iPhone lightning port is on the left thumb stick side of the controller. When rotating my phone so the lightning port is on the right thumb stick side of the controller it has been fine. I have had to shut the controller off and reconnect to my phone to overcome the issue. Overall, it has been a good controller over the last month of use.

Hey! Good review! Two things to add: - I also thought it was super weird the way we pair with iOS. Honestly, I feel that they “found” a way to emulate a xbox controller connection, but they are not fully MFi certified. And because of that, I don’t know if in the future Apple could block these controllers somehow via software (although I don’t think they will). Since Gamesir contacted you for this review, maybe you could ask them about this. - Try the concave joystick caps. I felt that after using them, it changed from a switch style joystick to a xbox one. Issue is that they come off pretty easily. Hopefully, future Backbones and Kishis would come in this price tag. 🙏

I own basically most "popular" mobile controllers and all of them are just deeply flawed in some way or another that just makes them difficult to enjoy lol. With this one I freaking hate the triggers. They are loud AF and distracting. Not to mention digital. Basically makes shooters, racers very hard to to enjoy. This controller (I own both bt and usb c v) is just not very comfortable imho. I just cannot find a way to hold it!. I can play maybe 30 and then have to put it down. I am not a fan of the tiny analogies either. Next the dpad is not great for fighting games...I hate micro switch dpads. You are probably not the audience but for emulation of classic games it also sucks big time. Why? Try playing a platformer game with the the dpad and the face button. Your hand will cramp and then you have to hold it in a weird way to avoid hitting the analogue stick while pressing B. Anyways I just ordered the Nacom mgx pro. It's basically straight up an Xbox controller lol.

Where is the honest review part ?! Sticks have huge deadzones, jerky, far to sensitive. Sticks are smaller than most mobile controllers,.making them less accurate. Trigers are not analoge like Xbox and PS, can play driving games for example. Sounds get a bit muffles because the rubbers go over it. No option to connect wired audio. Etc
